I want to clarify my experience as a client. I take full responsibility for showing up 30 minutes late, as I had genuinely confused the time. However, I was surprised to be told I had lost my $100 deposit and essentially would be paying an additional $100 to proceed with the appointment, especially since the artist still had availability and was willing to do the tattoo.

I made the decision not to go forward because I didn’t feel comfortable proceeding after that interaction — not because of the deposit policy itself, but because of how the situation was handled. I left my review based on how I felt as a paying client. I did not elaborate initially to avoid any conflict or public back-and-forth.

Regarding the design change, I communicated the update in advance and was told it was no issue. I even expressed that I would understand if the change meant the appointment needed to be rescheduled or canceled.

I’ve received multiple tattoos from Sara and I can’t say enough great things about her and her work!!! She is insanely talented and PATIENT! I am one of the many that asks for the stencil to be put in SO many different places and Sara takes it like a champ, while giving input that I so greatly appreciate.
