Honestly screw this place and the rude old man who works back there. I can go to literally any store to get cards appraised and he told me he REFUSED to do it for me, because I was asking him to do all the work. Told him i could look the prices up online myself, however im not sure i im aeeing the right price for the card. Not to mention I'm pretty sure that's your job homie. He said he would charge me $40 a hour for an appraisal. When I told him that I just went somewhere and they would do it on the spot, he told me I was lying. When he asked why I didn't do it there I said because I needed to wait for the manager to come in because he's the only one trusted to make those final calls. And he called me a liar. I've done this so many times at so many places. This man apparently works every day for free and refused to help a single struggling mother or even give me a different idea of how to get this accomplished. I mentioned to him that I'm a struggling single mom and that's why i needed to do this, he said "so what so are we". ....yeah except you're 75 years old have TWO businesses that rip people off. Comment back to me and ill tell you a more legit place that you can accomplish things like this t a legit business where customer service matters. Don't go here. EDITED TO ADD: I have now called 4 other places and ALL of them are willing to appraise my cards FOR FREE. So dont waste your time. Go to flipside gaming in Clifton park, funzone, jay street games in the mall, and flights to games and hobbies right down the road from this...
Read moreI was visiting the area for the weekend and decided to give this place a look. The parking leaves a little bit to be desired, but the actual facility itself is wonderful!
When you first walk in, the store area itself feels a little on the smaller side, but is super well-stocked with a ton of cards for various games.
Going further in, there are displays containing items from various games, including some very cool and old Dungeons and Dragons modules/books.
The actual play area was staggeringly big. The property seems to have been an industrial garage/warehouse at one point so there’s two main play areas that can host something like 60-80 some-odd people with tables to match. There’s space for more than one event to be going on at once. (And not even feel truly crowded, at that.)
What really shocked me was the fact that even with all this area to play, they have a full cafe setup! You can order various fast-food options like chicken-on-a-stick (which I had. it was great.), burgers, fries etc. It was nice to not have to go looking for food in other areas or come prepared with food/drink for a long gaming session.
The staff was also very professional and welcoming too. I spent a good deal of time speaking with Alec, who showed me around the venue and was super helpful in finding some specific cards I’d been looking for. Thanks Alec!
All in all, this place is worth your time if you’re a local or visiting. Highly...
Read morethe staff are super nice and make you feel welcome as someone who has really really bad anxiety it’s nice.
Shout out to the worker who’s a judge ( shame on me for not remembering their name ) it was them who made me feel the most welcome and comfortable there which allowed me to start Makeing new friends so thank you for your kindness. The person behind the cafe super nice as well and for a place were you can only have food that they make and drinks their prices are reasonable and fair The events they host clean and organized and the rewards for playing even in local Friday night magic really good There are few minor things
