I enjoy coming here, I pick up items like toploader sleeves, regular sleeves, bought some single booster packs, bought board games, and have purchased comics. I'm a big fan of Predator and they had a 1:25 variant, I was so proud to get it back at a 9.8! The owner and his staff I think do a great job displaying their products and also placing them in ways they are secured and protected.
The prices for some stuff is a little higher than average, but I won't knock a star for that. Small businesses were hurt pretty good from COVID, I am amazed Zombie still stands.
What I respect about the owner is that he is pretty aware of enthusiasts vs. collector vs. speculators. To me, he loves to see people enjoy their hobbies and adventures in collection. But for people who think they're slick, you gotta give the owner more credit than that.
They were a WOTC employee at one point in time, you don't think he knows you are trying to pull funny business on him? Haha.
Thanks for the wonderful experience every time I go even if I don't purchase something. I appreciate how your store is laid out and love to look at everything when I can.
Oh! They do tournaments locally so...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I recently called up Zombie Planet to ask if they had a certain Magic the Gathering Card I was looking for. And yes, I could have bought the card on amazon, but I like supporting local stores. But after my experience I wasnt going to give them a cent. So I called them up asking for the card and the man said " I'm sorry but I can't be bothered to look though binders and find you and card, we have way too many costumers, call us back in a half hour." I never called them back. I've also been there before my bad phone call experience. My friends and I enter the store and are excited about all the cool games and comics. But the instant we started talking to one of the employees we were uncomfortable. We asked them to explain something to us, and instead of explaining it, they just talked down to us. I like to call them "high class" nerds, nerds that think they are better then everyone else because they have more knowledge on a game. So here's the thing Zombie Planet, we are all nerds in the end, and us nerds have to stick together. So please learn to respect us costumers, because we're...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe games are hosted in a separate building which has very poor signage so it's difficult to find. The pods are not organized by staff, so I waited for 45 minutes and no tables broke up and no new pods started. I was leaving without getting to even play a game, but I asked someone outside in the parking lot to go play a game out of desperstion and he said yes out of sympathy. Also, 8 dollars only comes with a standard pack but no promo cards. 2 other local shops charge 6 for edh, manage pods so you cant get left out, and give out promo cards in addition to a booster. And another local shop I play at is completely free and has sign up sheet broken into blocks of 4 so you can always get in a game. Felt disorganized and I didnt like waiting and having to hunt down a game, probably...
