Peck's Market — Local services in Town of Delaware

I've lived hee for 18+ years, and have found the staff here to be hit or miss. More miss than hit. Today I begrudgingly went in to buy three overpriced items, one being laundry pods. Using my debit crd I requested $10 cash back. When the cashier, in a rather unpleasant tone requested that in the future I ask whether the register has the cash before making the transaction. I replied, "This store is becoming more and more diffcult to come into". For a "Supermarket," there prices are ridiculously high, their cashiers are either not friendly or phony friendly, and their deli staff needs to learn how to cut and stack their cold cuts when slicing their deli meats. Their only claim to fame is their are the only game in town, but henceforth I will drive the 30 minutes and shop at a REAL supermarket in either Monticello, Liberty, or Honesdale before I ever set foot in there again!

Amazing grocery store-a total treat to have Peck's Markets in my hometown. Great friendly staff-very diverse food selection-their meats are well know to be the best around. I enjoy the fish selection because it's small, manageable, and fresh: there are always two types of salmon, cod, tuna, and swordfish but they often get fresh mahi, steelhead, arctic char, halibut, monkfish, sea bass and more. Good produce section-fresh and quite large. There are other high quality food items only found in gourmet markets that they sell. You want a specialty item?-ask them. Many of our customer shop there and bring food back to the city! The other thing that I'm truly grateful is the service they provided to the community during the pandemic. While we were sequestered in our houses safe and sound--the staff was on the front line providing us our local food. Thanks to all of you at Peck's. It's...

I purchased a premade sandwich from the deli and one of the sliced meats still had the plastic casing on it. Found out after it got stuck between my teeth and had taken a few bites. Called the store about it so no one would get the other premade sandwich but they really didn't seem to care. Just said I'll check in with the deli about it. Paid 8 dollars for this sandwich and it'll be the last thing I ever buy from their deli again. It makes me wonder what else I've might have ingested from all the other times I've gotten a sandwich from here....
