Since LA to NY is 3 hours ahead, best that I still call first thing Monday 6am LA time….9am NY time to confirm the website email order will be written up and I should be able to confirm and pay for my order.
I call. “Hi did you receive the website order/email I sent?” Owner…”WE DONT DO EMAIL ORDERS!” ME. “Ok… well I’d like to place an order, your website HAD an email link for messages” Owner…”WE DONT HAVE EMAIL! WE DONT HAVE EMAIL ORDERS!” ME. “I’d like to place an order for delivery today, here’s the order, here’s the $ amount” Owner…”I CANT HEAR YOU” ME. “here’s the order and amount (after moving outside at 6am to see if that was the problem) Owner…”FINE. IT WILL BE DELIVERED TODAY”
What was delivered when “exotics” were requested, was some type of luncheon table dressing leftovers…for my sisters wedding reception.

While waiting in line with other costumers, he seemed completely comfortable yelling at his employees, who were the only helpful and friendly people working in the shop. I purchased a pair of balloons and did not even make it 3 blocks before one balloon popped. The balloons were for a child’s 10th birthday, so we immediately turned around to get a replacement for the 0 balloon. When we walked in, the man responded with “I didn’t pop it, you did” and nearly refused to replace the 0. He began inflating the already popped balloon. Each number balloon was $40, making our total $80 yet he was unwilling to compensate for the faulty balloon. His tone and commentary were both disrespectful and argumentative. Though the other staff members were completely understanding and helpful, he had no problem causing an argument over a defective product.    Read moreCalled and placed an order for a basket Thursday morning. Asked for it to be delivered ASAP with the latest being Saturday morning. Basket arrived to recipient around 4 on Saturday (latest possible time).
Upon placing order, we had requested that the basket be filled with a nice meat, cheese, and cracker selection with some fruit. Pretty much what was shown on the website, but the better version (order came to $241 after tax/delivery). We expected gourmet brands and a classy looking basket, instead it was a chintzy box of fruit filled with typical bodega items. Some of them included: Brick of "Gourmet" Cracker Barrel Cheese Nabisco Wheat Thin crackers... A few loose Nonni Biscotti's Small bag of Ghiradelli Chocolate
