Service is terrible here. After ordering a sandwich to go and waiting outside for twenty minutes (I had told the person I rang it up with that I was going to be outside since the cafe was crowded per COVID concerns), I checked back in and flustered staff couldnt find the sandwich. No offers to make a new one, just searching and looking confused and repeatedly asking what I had ordered. I showed the receipt (more on that below) and they confirmed that what I had been saying was correct. I asked for my money back and they seemed exasperated at having to refund me.
The other annoying thing was the 3% surcharge for using credit card. When I been pointed out that the receipt I had been given didn't break down the fee and the cost of the food, the response was that everyone in East Hampton is doing this. Illegal consumer violations are not justified by complicity of others.

Read moreI like this place a lot. Every so often I have to go out to my boss’s house out in East Hampton and I go here for lunch afterwards. A big selection of sandwiches, food and drink. It’s all fresh and tasty. Prices are to be expected for the location but you do get your money’s worth. I am local, and used to stop there daily but the last time I stopped this summer, the same two items were a total of $11.00 and I thought that was expensive.
