It’s really unclear when you go what you’re supposed to do if you have an appointment and you’re not a walk in because there’s no check in or system for checking in other than a paper sign in sheet outside the office. I had an appointment, I walked in, and stood in a huge line until someone at a window randomly yelled my name. The woman at the counter was incredibly rude and was one of those kinds of people who are so self-assured of their own correctness that they talk over you and make assumptions about things. Some people should not work in customer service. Anyways, I recommend either finding a different DMV, or if you can’t, just go in with the knowledge that you will be interacting with people who think they’re smart and you’re an idiot and will treat...

I wish I got her name but she was blonde headed and she was so rude to me and my husband, No experience in customer service and no sort of respect, I don't work for the dmv and we knew what we could do with our vehicle better then she did she sat there with attitude and telling use we could not do what we went there for.. she pretty much argued with us and would not complete what we went there for... So we left and made an appt in dansville ny the same day we had no issues what so ever with our dealings in dansville... I hope this lady from the geneseo ny office gets exposed and is removed from her position because she does not need to work with dealing with the public and have no skills...

Although I live in Rochester, I've made it a point for years to travel to Geneseo for all my DMV needs. There's rarely a line of people (especially early in the morning), and the entire staff is courteous, friendly and very helpful. Yes, Monroe county DMV has improved dramatically over the years, but the Livingston county office is still the best.
