A friend was celebrating his reunion (class of 1968) from GENESEO College. A 3 day adventurous weekend was planned. In its' hay day Geneseo had 7 venues to walk-a-bout and share "the moments important at the tine"~ and the music/musicians. I think the term dancing on the ceiling was coined from GENESEO....This night was magical, 70's now . Many have moved on (And missed by the way). Mike Woods planted where he grew into adulthood... .A teacher at neighboring York. Husband, father, - Grandfather ,Summer's - Camp Samwood his passion and a family devotion . If you want to draw talent like that and audiences to your venue and your town, you gotta first let people know they're playing, and second, treat people right when they show up, or they'll just keep moving on to other places. It's...
Read moreWe visited the Riviera Theater in Geneseo for the first time last Saturday and saw an excellent live concert. Captain Fantastic meets the Piano Man was one band doing a Billy Joel tribute opening up for an Elton John tribute. All excellent players, Material well-rehearsed and performed. The theater is in good condition and a reminder of a bygone era that would mix films, live stage performance and orchestral performance. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. We will definitely...
