Pleasantly surprised to learn that Frontier Market est. 2018 is the OG location for later Maruichi delis in MA, CT, and NJ. Considerably smaller location compared to the newer generation stores. The little parking space next to the building is near impossible to back out of, so you are better off parking along the road. Bentos and onigiris (if there are any left) are immediately to your left upon entry and, unfortunately, all chilled and not kept warm under heat lamps like the Maruichi locations. The kind cashier lady did direct me to the microwave they offer inside the store. Their Facebook page does a great job of advertising the specials every week, especially fresh meats. Given the small footage of Frontier that's similar to that of other Japanese stores like Daido and Fuji in the area, you will either visit for the uniquely Japanese items or just a fun browse if you happen to be in the area. For a more immersive and productive Asian grocery shopping experience, I would rather visit an H-Mart or cross the river...

It extremely clean, bright, organized & very efficiently run by a great kind and knowledgeable staff. If you are of Japanese origin and need a place to shop, this is for you. If you are someone who is experimenting with Japanese food, this is also the right spot for you.They even have health and beauty aids. They have Japanese beers. This market even have some houseware items. I was extremely impressed with the presentation of everything in such a small little place. All cooked foods, fruits and vegetables move quickly. The meats looked fantastic in the meat rack as well. Don't miss this place. You can easily park on Central Avenue and walk right in. Try it soon....
