AKWAABA Beauty Supply & Hair Braiding — Local services in Town of Haverstraw

This has to be one of the most unprofessional and unwelcoming beauty supply stores I’ve ever visited. On two separate occasions, I was turned away despite arriving during posted business hours, both online and on the store sign. The door was open, yet a group of employees loudly shouted, “We’re closed!” without any courtesy or explanation.

Most concerning was the rudeness I experienced. As I quietly turned to leave without saying a word, I overheard one of them sarcastically say, “Why the attitude?” even though I had said nothing at all. I was genuinely shocked by how disrespectfully I was addressed.

Customer service is clearly not a priority here, and based on my experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are far better beauty supply stores where customers are treated with basic courtesy...

If I could give them a zero/ no star rating I would. You will walk in there & walk right out. How is this a “hair beauty shop” & don’t have no braiding hair for weeks !!! I get the same answer how the order is backed up. For a month ??!???? Thought I would find a great beauty salon right around the corner from my house & this place is a dump. Prices of products are WAYYYYY over priced ! When I say RUN TO SPRING VALLEY RUN ! That would be your best option. Who ever the owner is needs to choose a different business because a hair shop is not...

I was so happy that there’s a black hair supply in the neighborhood but I’d rather drive to spring valley! I walked into the store, said hello but no response. The two ladies were very cold, I walked around, asked for help and one sluggishly came.They had what I needed but due to the attitude, I’m going elsewhere, won’t give my money!!
