I first went to A&T for its golden reputation and fair pricing. I bought one hydrangea tree (which was such better quality than what I had seen available at other nurseries).

I’m 40 weeks pregnant so I paid the reasonable delivery fee and had the tree planted.

After the tree was planted, I chatted with Josh (one of their talented gardeners) and we spoke about how to give our new home a bit more life in the garden.

Immediately, I hopped in the car and bought two more beautiful weeping cherry blossom trees. I also purchased a few annuals to give the entrance the color the front of the house was desperately needing.

Sean, the owner and Josh had such wonderful ideas to move around what I already had, and incorporate the new that I had just purchased. Better yet, they had packed up the truck and brought it to my home on the spot because I was so pregnant and excited about my first time working with a garden designer.

TLTR: I happened to find this establishment on Facebook Marketplace. I was looking for a specific indoor house plant, a variegated string of hearts. The listing stated it would ship but I drove in from Brooklyn and I’m so glad I did! As soon as I entered their beautiful grounds I was greeted by the owner, a super friendly and knowledgeable person. We conversed briefly and I sensed an instant affinity with him (plant people are connected someway, somehow)! I found what I came for, VSOH. I was then greeted by two other wonderful workers, they were so inviting and pleasant. I was given a tour of the grounds and it truly felt like a sanctuary to me. I saw guava, avocado, pomegranate trees, kiwi and grape vines…..so, so many tropical and exotic plants and trees! This place is amazing....

A GEM of Island Park! -- No amount of words can describe how Darren takes care of you. A warm, down-to-earth (no pun intended) soul who lives & breathes nature, plants, landscaping -- his business!

This is such a beautiful place, where even if you just want to stop by & chat, hang out, just browse at all the beautiful offerings--you are more than welcome.
