Moo Burger - Island Park — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

So we passed this place multiple times and finally wanted to give it a chance, granted we did show up at like 8:15 and they closed at 9 so I’m not really complaining about the wait, you expect to wait for good food, they had games present so we played the board games they had. I had gotten their version of a cheeseburger and a double cheese burger alongside with onion rings and their loaded fries. So we waited abt for 20-30 mins I want to say, they were bombarded with Uber eats, I’ve worked at fast food so I get it. The burgers turned out okay, kinda rushed but nothing to really complain, the fries I’m not sure if they were just sitting for a while forgotten before they handed them to us but the chili was lukewarm borderline cold, the fries were just there at warm, it was late and I didn’t really want to bring it up Because I’m tired they’re tired but we wasted abt $42 I’m not really sure we never got the receipt, reluctantly my boyfriend got up and asked abt the fries and the cook got another order of fries and just dumped the chili on it, they were really apologetic about it. With the rest of 15 minutes it felt kinda rushed because they wanted to go home and I’m just trying to eat as fast as possible. Went to this place to give it a shot. Saw some good recommendations on Google so said why not.

So the beef is definitely bland. It's a regular patty just grilled. If I knew it was going to be super bland I would have gotten something on the side. The meat is cooked properly so no complaint there. The pickles definitely were good. My only complaint of the double moo burger was that it was just overloaded with lettuce. I tasted more lettuce and because if that the pickle was stronger of a taste than the burger because of this. Would maybe recommend not putting too much lettuce next time 😅

The fries were solid. I think it was what I enjoyed the most.

The milkshake sadly wasn't really thick and was very thin. I was able to drink it like it was a milk instead of a shake. Would suggest not overblending the shake cause it felt more of an ice cream smoothie. Milk and cookies definitely was tasty but the texture didn't make it feel shakelike.

Ok. Is what I've heard from others and how I feel about this place. I've only had the single and double burgers .. and tried the turkey burger.... the double looked like the single couldn't tell the difference. The young girl put my order in wrong to because she was messing around with the other kid. Burgers would be better if they chopped the pickle and didn't use fillers to make the burger look bigger than it is with lettuce and tomato. Buns dry and big. I read they're trying to be like the all American of island park. They should have looked at the business from a consumer standpoint. The prices look cheap.... but you don't get your money's worth. Plus side !! onion rings are good. They should change their approach before it's too late. I'll give it one more chance and try the chicken sandwhich since I heard that's the only noteworthy item which is unfortunate since it's not callled...
