Initially, we were going to have a small gathering at our home and host several close family members and friends to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday. However, after rethinking the spatial constraints of our home, we decided to look elsewhere to make sure that we could all enjoy the occasion without risking or exposing anyone to Covid-19, especially since we had several guests including mom who were 70 and over. We were lucky enough to book Chefs 724 for the weekend of my mother's birthday weekend and boy did it happen to be the perfect choice. David and his staff spaced out the tables so that small groups of families were separated from others, with more than six feet between each table. Hand Sanitizer was readily available and easily accessible. All staff were very professional and wore masks and gloves at all times. I have to say that everyone at my mother's party felt very safe and never at risk for a moment. Besides the safety concerns, the food and service was impeccable. Our guests kept raving about how the short ribs melted in your mouth, the ravioli were delicious and I couldn't say anymore about the chicken francaise! The liquor bar was fully stocked and we were even given a choice of two types of sangria which was sooo yummy. At the end of our meal we were truly astounded by the many delicious options on the dessert table. I really can't say enough about the quality of food, service, and sheer concern for our safety we experienced at Chefs724 and neither could our guests. Our mission was accomplished and we will definitely be back. Compliments...
Read moreI recently celebrated my big Broadway Sam 60th birthday with family and friends at Chefs 724 in Island Park. The space came to us as a referral from a friend and I heard how delicious the food was and let me start by telling you they were absolutely right! The party package was so reasonable, and the food was to die for, not normal catering food but more like a 5 Star Restaurant! The atmosphere was also fantastic and given that they only accommodate one party at a time, we were able to decorate the way we liked. We transformed the Restaurant into a Broadway Party Theme! Dealing with Dave, the owner and Chef, prior to the party was a pleasure. He was always available to answer any questions we had. His attention to detail was spot on! All in all, I would give it a 10 out of 10. It was a very positive experience and any time a friend or family member on Long Island needs a party space this will be my absolute go to! As an Investor/Co-Producer on Broadway I have had the opportunities to go to many special and memorable events, this by far takes the cake! Thanks again, Dave and staff you were all absolutely fantastic! I appreciate you helping to make this day not only special for me, but also for all my family and friends and special guests! Even, my friend, Tony Orlando who FaceTimed in commented how nice everything looked and Bill Medley and Bucky Heard from the Righteous Brothers who also Face Timed in said how much they wished they could have been there to enjoy the party and eat all that delicious food! Thanks Dave! You're the BEST!
Sincerely...
Read moreToday was my nephews holy communion day...a day of happiness, wholesome and family. My sister reserved a table at this restaurant for a family dinner gathering. Knowing that this gathering would be full of children ranging from 2-12, the owner openly reserved a table for us. My two year old daughter left her high chair, after not being able to sit in a secure place for longer than 1/2 hour, the owner of the place came up to our table and very rudely demanded that if we did not seat our children we would have to leave the restaurant. Please, keep in mind that there were only 2 other customers occupying the restaurant at this time. Without a doubt, because of the insulting way the “owner” demanded us to leave, we got up and left. The way the owner conducted himself and his business was far below a respectful business owner. Non the less to say how he was dressed as a face of his business was In Such poor taste, wearing firstly sloppy jeans a washed out T-shirt and a face full of beard. Not a very good look for the face of his restaurant. Anyway the only food we were able to taste after being thrown out of a restaurant because two toddlers were running around bringing high spirits to such a gloomy restaurant, the chicken fingers were uncooked and full of fat. I have never been so embarrassed before by an owner telling us to leave because my children were being children. (The owner knew that most of the guests would consist of children). Lastly, the restaurant staff was rude and the restaurant smelt like a old bar full of old cigarettes. DO...
