Baldwin Community Garden — Local services in Town of Hempstead

Nice effort. Very badly maintained. I visited for the first time. Took my 3 y/o and 2 y/o. Horrible mistake .. beer bottles on the ground in plain sight/ middle of the garden 4 bottles. While’s there a woman was smoking in the gazebo, then came a young man who sat at the picnic table crushing pills and rolling smokes and also had a huge bottle of unopened alcohol sitting on the table. However he left with out smoking or drinking. Thereafter, a teenage couple came and sat in the gazebo rolling smokes. In addition to the delinquents the ground had garbage laying around and the trees and shrubs were not well maintained. The free library was a good surprise my kids enjoyed the books for the short time spent here. Very poorly maintained. Will not be returning. Taxes should be doing more. At least 1 employee during regular hours and gate enclosure...
