Came here for the first time for take out at lunchtime last week or so. The young lady taking orders was friendly and helpful A+. Food was a bit slow to come out when we were the only ones there for take out (the chef was hanging out in front so he didn't appear to be working on other orders prior). Took about 15 minutes or so for pulled pork sandwiches to come out. The pork had good flavor and wasn't fatty and a nice portion. I really enjoyed the bbq sauce which was on the thin side (didn't mind but for reference), with both sweet and vinegar/tangy notes. It did taste homemade to me. The bun it was served on was lack luster but fine. The coleslaw which we opted for on the side was good but too sweet, needed some acid for my taste and the side of it was TINY. The fries were unique with a lot of flavor/ seasoning. Can't say they were super crispy for take out but that is to be expected and the flavor kept me eating them, I would get them again! Price was not cheap but not any more expensive than anything else these days. Would try again and...

I came last week to try the food. The first thing I learned was when you’re on line and if you see banana pudding in the refrigerator, grab it while you’re waiting to place your order because it goes fast. The second thing is make sure you order your potato salad because it goes fast. My husband and daughter and my mom had the whitings and they said they were very good. I had the catfish. It was really good. they fry it to order. We love the mac & cheese and the potato salad and the yams. They were really good. Is a potatoes are very soft and I said I was going to buy crust and just get the sweet potatoes and put them inside them and make my own pie. It was so good. I’m going to try the ribs and the brisket and the chicken wings and the cabbage today. I also ordered mac & cheese, whiting, catfish and turkey wings. The owners are very nice. They are very appreciative of the customers as well. So today is my second time going there and I’m waiting in the car as I speak for my food….because I ordered a lot...
