If I could give zero Stars I would!! It was my first time visiting and definitely was be my last! After I paid for 4 people I was told to have a seat. We went into a private section to the left of the buffet. There was a family already in the section we greeted each other. While sitting down a woman came in and said the section is closed. I didn't hear her the first time so I asked her to repeat herself. She again said loudly this section is closed give me your receipt. She did not announce herself as being a hostess, she did not have an ID or name tag. I walked around the table to give her the receipt. She snatched it out of my hand and then began to walk away. She did not tell me to follow her, walk this way please, follow me over here -NOTHING!
Confused, my family and I followed her. I asked her if she was okay & was she having a bad day. She told me no and that I need to read the sign on her podium. Keep in mind it was my first time at this establishment. We later found out the sign was handwritten on a podium. But at that point, we've had enough. I asked for my receipt back to get a refund.
The gentleman I paid asked me if everything was okay. I told him no. I explained to him that the hostess was rude and snatched the receipt out of my hand. He stated that we were supposed to stand at the podium and wait to be seated. I reminded him that it was my first time there and no one told us to wait at the podium. Another guest agreed with my family and me stating the hostess was rude. She further stated, "I heard her and I saw her snatch your receipt, I would have knocked her out!" The fried shrimp was too breaded and not seasoned. The fried fish was not tasty at all, but the steam fish was good. They had a version of salmon in some type of barbecue sauce. The salmon tasted funny and I only had two bites of it. The rest went to the garbage because I feared getting sick. They had a variety of pies, cakes, cookies and chocolate fondue. I had a slice of the lemon pie. That was enough sugar for me and besides I'm not trying to get porky. They had many sodas and lemonade to drink. However, that stuff is bad for my temple, so I just drank water. Oh yeah! They had plenty of fresh fruit. I only had strawberries, which were nice and sweet. I only wish the staff had better hospitality skills. They ALL looked like someone was forcing them to work there. Not a smile or any conversation did they have for the customers. This restaurant had a variety of people dining there, many different races. I'm quite sure they get a big crowd all the time. They should know how to smile and interact with other folks who may not be Chinese. This place is NOT a favorite of mines and I doubt I will return their to eat again. I went back to ask her why we have been going to his place more than five years she said in front of everybody and in front of Customer that was online Spanish Customer like us, they were upset to show her proof of my daughter age? My Husband 💕 said that’s not professional because he has work in a restaurant environment for more than 10 years. This rude lady made me wait online for me to show her proof like birth certificate and even insurance card. Of course I show him my proof. Well that’s not professional I felt offended, and 10 years old felt nervous.
i’m a definitely take this case to a lawyer because I felt discriminated. Also we tipped the waiter good and we told her what happened because she so upset. I really hope I can speak to the owner not no Assist that doesn’t know how to treat customers once again.
