Great tasting food. Good quality. Love their hibachi grill. They are always on the floor, constantly cleaning and replenishing food, and making sure nothing gets on the food.
Many from our party have got food poisoning multiple times from Flaming Grill but never here. This restaurant keeps their proper food temperatures. Cold is kept very cold 🥶, hot is kept very hot 🔥. So this is now our go-to.
The ice cream 🍦 spot at the back can get very dirty and is a red flag for us, people sloppily try to place the ice cream in their bowls right over the glass covering, they end up spilling it on the sliding glass panel that is used to keep the ice cream cold, the spilled ice cream melts and now you find it dripping down into the ice cream below from the dirty glass panel above. Oh, and the glass cover is another thing one has to finagle with. It doesn't have a latch to allow for an easy open and close, and the rollers dont work properly. With the panel constantly getting all sticky from everyones dirty hands and it not closing properly anyway, you'll find people giving up and leaving the ice cream panel open all the time to avoid a mess.
There is a wet, dirty microfiber rag they will keep by the ice cream area for cleaning. Not sure if that's for customers to clean or the waiters to use, but we saw people try to clean that area with it; they gave up.
This place has a room to hold parties that can take up almost to or at 100 people depending on the seating and dance floor space need; can connect music from phone and Bluetooth to play through large speakers. One can also hook up speakers and...

Read moreAfter dining here regularly since April of 2022, I now refer to this place as " The Civilized Buffet " , and it simply continues to be the most Senior citizen friendly Asian buffet I know of ( Bayside's pricy Mizumi included ) , Soft music is the only music played in this peaceful family owned establishment, and that helps set the tone. Regulars are remembered and welcome to take their regular seats with the ever considerate, responsive waitresses immediately attending to you . This time of year, watermelon is almost invariably available along with a large array of fresh fruits ( yes, fresh ! ) . Even on weekends the tone here is relaxing ; large parties never disturb that tone . I often stay an extra hour, slowly lingering over my plate of fruit while drawing or reading : one is never rushed when brunch overlaps with dinner if you don't take advantage of the owner's courtesy , ...... This little place is special and certainly deserves more patronage on these hot summer days than it presently gets ; with ample parking in back , do yourself a favor and keep this Baldwin gem...
