Baldwin Harbor Shopping Center — Local services in Town of Hempstead

IN A "NUTSHELL" THE RENT HERE IS SOOOO HIGH THAT MANY OF THE MUCH LIKED (AND NEEDED) STORES HAVE COME AND GONE.. BALDWIN HARBOR IS "DEPENDENT" ON THIS "MINI" SHOPPING CENTER BECAUSE THERE ISN'T ANYWHERE ELSE AROUND HERE TO SHOP!!! THE GOOD PLACES ARE/ STOP AND SHOP, /A GOOD PIZZERIA (GINOS)/ CVS, /AND ACE HARDWARE.. TOO MANY GOOD "NEEDED" STORES HAVE BEEN FORCED TO CLOSE DUE TO THE EXTREMELY HIGH RENT LIKE A CARD STORE, GREAT DRY CLEANERS, BAGEL PLACE, DENNYS, BENS, GAMESTOP, AND "REPLACED" WITH ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND NOT NEEDED "VERIZON STORE?!" (ITS BEEN THERE FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS AND WE ARE YET TO SEE ANY CUSTOMERS (OR EMPLOYEES FOR THAT MATTER ) SO ALL IN ALL WE LIKE THIS LITTLE SHOPPING STRIP MAINLY BECAUSE IT'S "NEEDED" IN OUR BALDWIN...

Tried to go to SUBWAY, they had no bread! Another customer in front of me was not happy..all they had was flat bread and whole wheat wrap..the guy working there said it was busy..me and the customer looked around and there was no customers..it looked like a slow day..he stated no bread since 3pm.. Seriously?! NO BREAD! SUBWAY staff always need to make sure you have enough bread, it doesn't take that long, you put in 6 at a Time. Count the breads at night and then during the mid day you bake More for the evening..the customer and I we're so hungry and not...

I have been shopping in this shopping mall since I moved to Baldwin about 13 years ago. A Lot has changed over the last few years. They took away game stop, and a bagel shop that has been there since before I even moved to Baldwin (they made the bagels fresh every morning and it was family owned and amazing), eyeglass store, Dennys clothing store, dry cleaners, etc. They keep the area very clean and well kept. And the stores new renovations as well. Great place to shop! Great...
