I had never been to this salon, I went there based on the reviews. I went in to make an appt. in person because I wanted to discuss what I wanted done. Spoke with the girl at front desk about wanting my hair stripped and colored Salt & Pepper/Silver color to blend with my already 5" of Salt & Pepper coming from my roots. She told me I would be spending the day, about 8 hours and told me how much it would cost. She said the only person that does what I want is "Rosa", the owner. She called Rosa over to see my hair, I then repeated to Rosa that I want my hair stripped and colored a Salt and Pepper/Silver color to blend with my roots. I also showed her the attached picture for her to see what I wanted and told her I want my hair-cut like the picture too. She said, "no problem", she also told me when my hair is done it will be very low maintenance, that I won't need to color it when she is done. That following week I came in for my scheduled appt., I again showed her the picture attached here and she then said, "Oh, that's AI (meaning artificial intelligence), that's not a real color". How come the week before when I came to make the appt. she said she can make my hair that color? Anyway, she never stripped my hair. She highlighted it which was not what was discussed. I did not know that what she was doing was not going to come down to stripping it at some point. I don't know the process of doing hair, I thought she did this first and then perhaps would be stripping it. While she was drying my hair, I told her I also want it straightened via hot iron and she proceeds to tell me, "Oh, with the process I just did, you can no longer iron your hair, it will take the color I just did right out". I iron my hair every week to get it pin straight and she now tells me whatever she did to my hair, I can no longer iron my hair? How about you tell me, first that you are not stripping my hair which is what I asked to be done, then tell me that you OBVIOUSLY came up with your own idea of how you were going to do my hair and then don't forget to tell me I will not be able to iron my hair after I blow it out. I wasted 5 hours and over $600 dollars in this salon and within a few weeks my hair was no longer the color she had put on my hair via Highlights. She didn't even cut my hair as in the picture, I guess that was "Artificial Intelligence" too. Meanwhile you can look up "Kratkovlasky" on Instagram, FB and TikTok. I wish I had known the process of hair stripping because I would have stopped you as soon as you put me in your chair. BIG MISTAKE I MADE COMING TO THIS SALON. LESSON LEARNED, THEY WILL YES YOU TO DEATH TO...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had been a regular customer of Dirosas for approximately 8 years and had never had issues with them. I had colored my hair with Rachel initially on my first visit, had gone with Kyle and had gotten a mushroom balayage and with Eddie I got a cut and babylights - they all did great work, I had gotten a balayage from Shannon twice And the first time I received it it was a little too much of a caramel color for my taste but she resolved the issue with no problem.
I recently went again, around the end of February, for a subtle sombre balayage and a haircut with Shannon. The haircut came out great and the color the day off was very subtle like I wanted but the cost was close to $300 (and I looked like when I had gone in )at least indoors it looked similar to the picture. The next day I noticed that the color in the light was very orangey and brassy so I waited a couple of days and called and was told to come back for a toner. Shannon looked at the color and agreed that it was brassy and informed me that I should use a color shampoo. She had an assistant put on a toner and I was basically left on my own after. I walked out with VERY dark hair no dimension at all and feeling like I should have never dyed my hair. Everyone that knows me asked me why I had gone so dark and when I showed them pictures of what I wanted they were surprised. I donāt like to be a diva so I avoided calling them again but after two months my hair is now incredibly orange, after comparing prices I felt that they should help since I paid $300 and my color turned nothing like I had asked for. I left a message and was called back by Dominique who informed me that after speaking to Rosa and Shannon they could not help me unless I paid for new services but they were willing to give me 20% off shampoo.
Iām incredibly disappointed as I have referred 3 customers to the salon prior to this and have seen them for a few times. Evidently the service type has changed and I donāt recommend this salon anymore. Will be looking elsewhere to get the orange color resolve and for all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place looks amazing. Reviews were all 4 or 5 before I tried this place . It's the type that twirls u with crystal chandeliers , coffee shots or water every 5 mins, and really belongs in the fantasy of real house wives of Beverly hills. No really. It even has a clothing store attached on the corner. . .. note to self: if a hair salon needs to sell cheap handbags too to make rent , turn in the other direction. Made an appointment with a male... Told he was top colorist. He burned my scalp... left my blonde a brass after an hour of bleach and 20 of toner. He had to try to ask for help from a female stylist who does blonde. ... wait what. Are u a colorist or not? I asked what bleach they use... one I have never used but it's suppose to be gentle.... he couldn't even comb my hair because the teeth hurt my scalp. I left and ended with a migraine attack that lasted several hours. I nearly had to go yo the hospital. So now what? If the super Manhattan hype salon sucks, where can I go? 3 months later I still had problems.... I found breakage everywhere in my hair. It look like a child took chunks of my hair in 2 inch sections. If u only use one brand of color and brand of bleach, that says you are a puppet pushing one product because u own those products or stocks in that product. Not every person can use wella or gold and u should be prepared and well versed in more then just one product line. BTW they still charged full price. You charged full price for orange hair that fell out and is brittle as all hell. You think the owner would have said something. You can keep your coffee shots. If I want coffee I'll go to d'n'd .... cuz their job is coffee....and it's good. Iow.....your a hair salon.... you should be good at your job. Btw. The stylist was a nice guy. He might be good at other things.... but he don't know...
