Bagel Boss Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I came here on a lazy Friday hoping to replicate a flavor that I had grown accustomed to in Borough Park circa 2001. I was disappointed. I'll start with the negatives as this is what clouded my visit.

I went with a breakfast combo, the hash browns were super oily and overloaded with paprika. They were pretty slimy and inedible. The eggs were equally as bland, despite the cheese.

My husband had vegetable cream cheese on a bagel. Much to my sadness, the cream cheese was also without flavor.

That being said, the bagels were awesome! I had a plain, he had an everything. The everything bagel was seasoned on both sides.

The establishment was brightly lit and very clean. The staff were very courteous... although they did misinterpret my order. Prices are pretty standard as well.

This is a great place to pick up bagels, however I'll get my fixings from...

Sorry to report that the food is not as palate pleasing as it once was... The egg white salad was all chipped up to the point where I was uncertain that it was actually what I asked for. The young lady who waited on my was a sweetheart-- The more mature lady (like yours truly) was gruff with a tinge of "what are you doing in here?") I did pick up a bag of pita Pretzels that were BEYOND delicious... But I don't have to patronize BB to purchase that-

This place is terrible - The manager Mike Mascaro is extremely rude and hung up - His reply to my wrong order - was "simply take off the tomatoes" - BUT where are my onions ordered- and "my "lightly toasted flagel" was black burnt - Ugh AND not the first time they've messed up an order on us - but it WILL BE THE LAST - In this day and under circumstances I would think it SHOULD be important to get take out / delivery orders CORRECT - IS IT REALLY SO HARD ?? GET A GRIP MIKE -...
