Words really cannot express what a perfect setting La Parma III Italian Restaurant was for our family. I was trying to plan a luncheon to take place after a funeral remotely from San Diego, CA, and had nothing to go on other than a recommendation from the funeral home I called and spoke to Guido on a Friday and the lunch was being planned for the upcoming Tuesday 8-27th a few days later. Being in the catering business myself and immediately hearing "no problem" we can do it all, was simply music to my ears. Guido said he would not be in on that Sunday when I wanted to come check it out in person but gladly provided me with the Managers name that would be available that day to meet. When I arrived at the restaurant, I met Richie, and he could not have been more helpful in confirming everything that I had expected to happen. Not only did they have us set up in a beautiful room with everything ready to go but both Guido and Richie were there during the lunch and worked the entire event in coordination with their amazing team. From the initial contact over the phone, all the way to the completion of the lunch we could not be happier with how professional and accommodating the people at La Parma III were, especially considering we had just lost our loved one. We would call them again for this or any other meal we needed to be catered. In summary, the food and service were five stars, A+, or whatever is the best...
Read moreWe went out on Good Friday to have a nice dinner. We called and asked what time the kitchen was open until and we were told 10:00 p.m. We arrived at 9:20 p.m. As soon as we sat down we felt like we were being rushed. The waiter was standing over my shoulder and a visit to our table every thirty seconds, asking if we were ready to order. We were feeling pressured so we ordered quickly. Our food came out within minutes. We hadn't even taken our last bite of food and the plates were immediately taken away. We were then asked if we wanted coffee. We refused coffee and before we knew it the check was dropped on the table as were where finishing up our dinner cocktails. We wanted to finish our drinks, but again we were again being rushed to pay the bill. We paid with CASH and the waiter didn't even bring the change back. We never saw him again. A minute later, the Manager yelled at us from across the room that they were closing. Then, the Manager shut the lights off and we were almost in darkness. It was the most rudest and horrible experience that we have ever encountered. I don't write reviews on anything, but we were so infuriated by the treatment of the Waiter AND the Manager, we shall never return to this...
Read moreWOW! What a score! We were looking for a delicious Italian restaurant, and found this place - completely EXCEEDED our expectations! We drove up from Boston to pick up a car and wanted to grab Italian - came across this gem based on the reviews.
The minute we walked in, were immediately greeted by Guido. He made us feel so comfortable, as if we were family! Recommended dishes that blew our taste buds away! A fried calamari dish with honey mustard salad, and a perfect balance of white and red sauce cooked with fresh clams. Mmmm! Bread and oil was nothing short of perfection too! Pretty sure we will not be able to find food this good again…which means we will be coming back to New York just for this restaurant!
Also have to give credit to the very attentive and friendly waiter who helped us (feel awful not getting his name), but he was a tall handsome young man with a charming accent - served us the food and helped us with A+ service!
This place is BEAUTIFUL, and the food is INCREDIBLE! Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic and a memorable time. The staff and the excellent food, made our drive back to Boston a happy one filled with wholesome goodness...
