VTI Van Rentals — Local services in Town of Hempstead

Long story short, do not book a Tesla with them, they're not trustworthy.

I was considering booking a a model 3 weeks in advance and was concerned about the cancellation policy in case I wouldn't be allowed to travel. Chris replied that "Once a reservation is made, it’s 100% guaranteed. If there’s any cancellations, there’s $199.99 cancellation fee". I did book it and received a confirmation with the exact model (Tesla Model 3 LR AWD).

One thing went a bit south. I did mention several times I was an international customer and I didn't have insurance and I was told they had an option for that. They gave me a total price taxes included for the location, mentioning that pickup is a separate cost. Turns out that didn't include insurance...

The real problem is that a few days before I was supposed to pick up the car, I got an email saying that the Tesla wouldn't be available after all as "The company [...] that booked before you made your reservation just notified us that they are gonna extended their rental". I was offered a 8 persons Van instead(?!)

I mentioned that it wasn't my problem if the customer having the tesla wanted to extend it as it was booked for weeks now. What about the 100% guaranteed? Unfortunately, VTI rentals decided that this customer has...

My dad and I were first time customers this weekend, and it was a terrific experience! We usually rent passenger vans with another company and they didn't have our needed availability. After a Google & Instagram search, I called up VTI on Friday, and Saturday we picked up our fabulous super clean Mercedes Sprinter 12-passenger van for a family trip.

We paid the extra $30 insurance fee. This rental experience was also great because the weekend hours fit our needed time for the van. Keep the business hours in mind as you plan your pickup + dropoff of your rental, and ask the guys all your questions like I did. We had a great family trip, and are excited to do it...

I had an amazing experience with VTI Car and Van Rental! I initially requested a 12-seater Ford Transit for a last-minute trip, and not only were they able to accommodate my short notice, but the owner also kindly upgraded me to a 15-seater at no extra hassle. The vehicle ran smoothly the entire time—no issues at all. It was clean, reliable, and perfect for our group travel needs.

What really stood out was how accommodating and understanding the owner was. Chris went above and beyond to make the rental process easy and stress-free, even working with me to provide the best possible price and time to return the vehicle due to my hectic schedule. His professionalism and willingness to help, especially on such short notice, were truly appreciated.
