As requested by Jason Chance, I am providing an honest review of my recent car-buying experience at Audi Lynbrook.
I initially purchased my Audi from an out-of-state dealership due to prior less-than-ideal car-buying experiences in New York. However, after a recent service appointment at Audi Lynbrook, Jason Chance reached out regarding the possibility of upgrading my vehicle. I explained that I was only looking for a larger vehicle due to expecting my third child, and he acknowledged my intentions.
On Saturday, February 8, I met with Jason to discuss a 2022 Audi Q5 with 31,519 miles, priced at $33,337.31. I informed him that I had already been preapproved for $50,000 by my current lien holder. After a test drive, I was impressed with both the vehicle and Jasonâs knowledge. However, I made it clear that I was unwilling to pay beyond the value of my current vehicle minus my remaining loan balance.
After appraising my vehicle, I was offered a 72-month financing option with a monthly payment of $783.13, accepting a $1,500 trade-in equity. While this was acceptable, I sought to reduce the monthly payment significantly. Since I did not want to make a down payment, Jason understood that flexibility was limited. Throughout our discussions, Jason repeatedly referred to âusâ and âwe,â implying decisions were being made jointly with my husband, despite him not being present. This left me feeling as though my ability to make decisions independently was not fully acknowledged. Despite his efforts to encourage a down payment of $1,000â$3,000 or to consider a different vehicle, I remained firm. We ultimately agreed on a monthly payment of at least $770, which I was satisfied with. After we shook hands, Jason requested that I post a Google review and provided a list of documents he needed, assuring me the vehicle would be ready by midweek.
However, on February 11, 2025, I received a call from Jason stating that there were issues with financing, as the banks they contacted were not providing the expected terms. I questioned why they had approached other banks, considering my preapproval with my current lien holder. Jason said they would investigate and call me back. After contacting my bank, I learned that no documentation had been submitted regarding the vehicle. I attempted to reach Jason multiple times and eventually sent a text message. When he returned my call, he informed me that my bank had only approved me for $30,000, and I would need to provide a $10,000 down payment or consider another vehicle.
At this point, something felt off. I expressed that I was no longer interested in pursuing another vehicle and requested the return of my deposit. Further discussions with my bank revealed that no down payment had been mentioned beyond the $770 agreed upon on February 8. Audi Lynbrook had submitted a financing request for $37,163.90, but my bank countered with $30,121, the appraised value of the 2022 Q5. My bank confirmed they were waiting for a response from the dealership. I then requested that any submissions made on my behalf by the dealership be retracted.
Unfortunately, this experience has left me disillusioned and reminded me of terms such as âsleazy,â âpushy,â and âcrooked,â which are often associated with questionable sales tactics.
According to Jason Chance, I should receive my refund within 7â10 business days. I trust this matter will be resolved promptly and hope that I wonât need to follow up with...

The previous dealership I went to called me 10 minutes before I arrived and told me that they had just sold the car. As you can imagine I was very upset. I have wanted an a blue Rs6 for a long time. Fortunately the young saleslady who had to break the bad news was extremely kind and sat down with me and helped me look for another one. We found all the blue Rs6s and Rs7s in the country. She wrote me down the phone numbers and everything. I started with the one in CA because they had the one with airbag suspension. They were very kind and responsive but they wouldn't budge on the markup and the car wasn't there. So I called Wilson next. He had the car in stocks and said he would ask if they could beat the other dealers markup. He did ask and they did. Out comes the red carpet. Falysha gets me financed with best rate you could imagine directly with Audi financing. I book a flight and bring my two kids and niece and nephew with me to make the road trip back to Florida. When we land we are picked up at airport by Wilson in a beautiful Audi suv and driven to the dealership. The car is not ready so they take me and my kids to the mall so we can eat and shop. Once it's ready they pick us up and bring us back. Wilson spends over an hour teaching me how to operate the different screens on the car. While finishing up with them I tell Falysha that my kids want to go to Times Square. She finds me a hotel room and I give her my credit card and she books it for me. The Audi experience I was looking for at the first dealership was at Lynbrook Audi with Wilson and Falysha. The sweet part of the story is that the spec I didn't even know I wanted was the one they had. If I had bought the first one I would've missed out on getting the exact dream car that's in my head into my driveway. Thank you Wilson and Falysha and Audi of Lynbrook. I will gladly fly to New York and buy my next car from you and have another road trip. All of you made a life goal and a dream come true. Thank you, thank...
Read moreIf I could give ZERO stars, I would because I was completely misled by this dealership, the salesman, and the finance manager Falysha's bait and switch tactics! I arrived at the dealership on Sunday, 2/26 interested in the Q3. After some discussion with the salesman, friendly negotiations about the monthly payments, a pre-authorization credit check, which I was approved for, we SHOOK HANDS on the deal at $4800 down and $550 monthly payments with 12,000 miles per year on the lease. (I repeatedly asked for 15,000 annual miles, but since the deal was good, I settled for 12,000.) When I arrived to pick up the vehicle on 2/29, I had to wait a very long time to see the Financial Manager, Falysha Pierre-Lys. While I waited, the service department took my Mercedes Benz and stripped it of the registration and inspection stickers. Once in with Falysha, I was informed that I did not meet the Tier 1 credit and would have to now pay $692 per month on the lease!! Falysha was aware of this on Monday, Feb. 27, but no one advised me prior to the day I came to pick up the new car. I refused the deal of $692 and reminded them that the salesman said that if I was not approved for this deal, I would be refunded my $2000 deposit. Falysha started making all kinds of calls to see "what she could do to help." I made it clear that I was not going to settle for this "deal," and they kept trying to figure out something else. I was dumbfounded that we were back at the drawing board! I was livid and felt completely dupped! My back was now against the wall and after much back and forth, we finally settled on another $500 down, with my payments INCREASED $590 per month. I am disgusted by the tactics used to make this sale and will NEVER go back to Lynbrook Audi! I will not use them for service or to return the vehicle when the 36 month lease is up. I am sure they will not care though, sadly! What a terribly dishonest way to do business. Gone are the days when a handshake and a SIGNED CONTRACT MEANT SOMETHING! All will be reported to the BBB, but for now I will leave this review. STAY AWAY FROM AUDI...
