Brightside — Local services in Town of Islip

I was very happy with the Brightside Auto team. When driving in from out of state to try and catch a ferry to Fire Island, my break calipers on the front ends blew and the breaks began to heat up quick and stick. Extremely pressed for time I luckily called brightside en route to the ferry to have them work on it over the weekend. En route to the ferry I called an Uber from the shop to the dock, the uber cancelled last minute. One of the mechanics/shops owners son ended up dropping me off in my truck when he was test driving it for the breaks and saved me BIG TIME. They quoted me solid, did solid work on the truck while I was on the island, and accommodated my leaving date which was Sunday. Solid crew, solid people. Hard to come by these days. Much love to...

Been going to Matt for over 25 yrs. The guy has fixed my bicycles/go-kart/mopeds in my younger years. Now I'm an adult he's fixed my cars, my girls car, and a few of my family members cars also a couple of my friends cars "plus tax" 😉... Always good customer service. Make sure your paying attention while he's explaining your vehicle's issues and you'll get a ballpark figure of what your repairs might cost. Great mechanic knows he's s**t. Can't really ask for a better local shop. Good friendly environment. Easy 5 🌟's I hope this review is helpful to people looking for an honest mechanic in need of a quick or not so quick fix....

Beware of this place a single woman the owner is very rude and curses foul language if you tell him you don't want that part and it's not that part he yells and screams and curses out you he wants to put pots in that you don't need and not even fix the real problem or try to get the real problem with all the other parts you don't need and my father has dementia he ripped my father off he said he needed $1,200 of work to get an inspection and my other sister and my other sister which they're going to be writing reviews I'm actually taking them to a small claims court and Reporting him to...
