The UPS Store — Local services in Town of Islip

Had my brother go into this UPS store on 10/17/23 to pick up a package for me. The package was in my name but I live 3.5 hours away so I told my brother to pick it up. When he gets there the woman at the counter and the woman who's the manager says that he can't pick it up. They say since its my name, I have to pick up the package.

My brother shows them the UPS policy (on the UPS website!) that a person with the same last name and same address as the address on the package can pick it up any time. The woman at the counter and manager kept denying my brother from picking up the package. They think they know the policies (which they have no idea about). Their attitudes were horrible.

Fast forward to 10/18/23. We manage to get something from writing via email from UPS re-instating the policy that my brother tells them about on 10/17/23. He goes back to the store to pick up the package. The same women is there and tries to deny package pick up again when she gets stopped by a kind Indian manager. The indian manager was a true gentleman and ensures that my brother is qualified to pick up the package. We managed to get the package today.

Please avoid this UPS store. The woman make up their own rules and have a nasty attitude. They are absolutely horrible. I will be contacting corporate to report these two women...

DON'T GO OVER THERE. It is The worst place to go. First of all, the lady up front gives the worst customer service ever. Second, I was in the line and just because I checked on my car thought the door adn I came back right away, she saw me all time. she said I was not going next anymore even when she was still doing something with the person before me. Third, she wanted to charge me $ 2 for a very small box (a 2x2x2 size) just to put tape on top Whaaaaat? I she talked to me with attitude and she was very rude just left that place. It is very disappointed that our community treats people like trash and besides, they want to take advantage of the situation. Don't go to that place. Very unprofessional. First of all I called and it was very difficult to get in touch with them because they don't even have a number. The number they post there is the pharmacy number and they made me feel like i was interrupting them. Finally they put me through to some one at the UPS store and the guy was very Ruud and unprofessional. I ask about pricing and he spoke to me like I am suppose to know that they only give prices at the store. Hi told me everybody's prices are in the store and I replied that every other company I found was giving prices on line. He got upset and told me to take my business elsewhere.
