I went to see Dr. Geraci after seeing several doctors who did not take my complaints of pain that I have been suffering with for several years serious. I was prescribed drugs without properly being explained if there would be any reactions since I am already taking other medications. It seemed to be a big issue if I asked the simplest questions and it seemed as if I was invading their time. I was also given prescriptions for several tests to take and physicians to see, and again it was an issues to ask why. They just did not want to hear my story, this was not important!! I never took the medications but I did consult with one of the physicians who had no time in his busy schedule after taking my $50.00 copay. I could not wait to get out of there either. After doing my own research, I found the Northwell Health Neuromuscular Medicine Neuroscience Institute In Great Neck, N.Y. and I made an appointment immediately. My first encounter with Dr. Geraci made me know that there was hope for me. He patiently listened to my to concerns, he examined me, explained to me "in layman's terms" his findings and provided me with tools that I needed to get my LIFE back on track. He gave me hope for a Pain Free Future. The overall visit made me feel a sense of relief and I knew I was on the road to recovery. I followed his instructions by picking up the medications he prescribed for me and had one of the BEST nights sleep I have had in 3 years. I took my next dose the following morning with breakfast and although I felt a little woozy, this soon passed. I was able to run my Saturday morning errands without any anger or ill feelings because of the pain I have endured for so long. Saw him for several years and followed him from office to office, from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, to NYC and back to Brooklyn again. At some point he changed offices again and I could not find him anywhere. No updated information on google, no notification to patients that he had moved. Finally I had to find a new neurologist because my prescription was running out. I showed up at a brand new neurology office in a completely different location. As I was waiting for my appointment with the new neurologist, I explained that I had been seeing a Dr. Geraci for years, but could not find him. They told me that Dr. Geraci was actually starting work at their office that day! I said wow, that is amazing. I've been looking for him for so long. Do you think it's possible I could speak to him after my appointment? ?They said sure. In the waiting room after my appointment with the new neurologist, Dr. Geraci came out. I said uh, hello??.. I've been looking for you for quite a while! He said yes, hi, so nice to see you, well... I've done some traveling, took a break.... he acted as if nothing had happened. Read his HealthGrades reviews. The absolute worst doctor I have ever had an appointment with. Arrogant, talks over you, does not listen, no curiosity, closed-minded. Thinks he is a god and knows it all. Imagine as an example getting hit by a car and then being in pain weeks later and the doctor tries to convince you it's not related to the accident because he doesn't believe cars can hurt people. That's the kind of doctor this is. RUN far away. I walked out of his office, he's a waste of your time and money. I don't care about the politics of the covidvaccine one way or the other. I just know I am in pain for a month following vaccination and many other people are suffering the same. I want answers, not even looking for meds.
