1010 cafe & grill — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

Food is good. Cooks are friendly. Treatment of customers at checkout is miserable. Have daily specials posted around food prep counter. Problem is most have no day noted so when it comes to paying you get told it doesn't pertain to today. Cashier points to one small obscure sign off on the side. When I said the other sign says daily special but has no day noted, was told only the small sign refers to today and that was it. I was going to refuse the purchase but it was for wife in one of the offices. Will probably make future lunch purchases elsewhere and carry in. Food was good. I usually don’t write bad reviews but I tried this place a few times. First of all, the food is very bland. The staff is super nice and all but when it comes to make the payment, there is cash price vs credit card price. I agree with some of the reviews here. I am not going to argue for a few dollars but it’s consistently marked up higher than the prices that’s on the menu. But my friend who chats with the staff always get the lower price. Will not...

Slow, overpriced and almost always will get your order wrong.

And don’t let them know you’re annoyed bc they will make it uncomfortable for you indefinitely.
