Our first time to this restaurant. The layout of this place and where the sign is a little odd. They have a parking lot and plenty of space to park. Newly renovated with roomy front entrance. So far, so good, and we were excited to try this place. Upon entering, the hostess (a young lady) just looked at us. No greeting, no smile, just stand and stare. We let her know that there are 2 of us. So she sat us down. Our excitement level was 10, and now down a few notches. Took a bit of time to get our menu. The restaurant wasn't super busy, but there were quite a few tables of people. It is very spacious, bright and modern. Not the typical old school diners. A few waiters looked at our table and finally one of them decided to ask what we would like to order. But we don't have a menu. He just said whatever you want. We asked, "What's the breakfast or brunch special?" The menu offers bottomless but did not state it is only certain types of drinks. The menu didn't clarify what they are until we asked and the waiter was annoyed and didn't want to bring us the full menu so we can see the list of drinks. Some items didn't state how much. We don't have a bottomless wallet and would like to know how much things are. The fact that it took so much time and effort to get a menu is already frustrating and such nonsense. We ordered two breakfasts from the menu and was going to order two drinks but decided not to after our frustrated conversation with the waiter and decided to get our drinks somewhere else happier after our brunch. (See photos) They were ok. The service was terrible with ok food. We were disappointed and will not...
Read moreA Disappointing Experience. Last Friday, my family and I decided to dine at Paros as we frequented this place in its diner days. Our experience, however, was far from what we expected. Upon arrival, the nearly empty restaurant greeted us, yet we faced an unexpected issue when requesting a booth. Initially agreed upon, the hostess was abruptly directed by a senior staff member to seat us at a regular table, stating the booths were "reserved."
The service speed was noticeably slow, with appetizers taking 30 minutes and main dishes an additional 15 minutes to arrive. My boyfriend and teen son had burgers and I had a salad and piece of salmon. The food quality was mediocre, barely justifying the long wait. Burgers were dry and tasteless. My Greek salad was small, chopped and hardly had any feta. Food is way overpriced. We spent approximately two hours at the restaurant, during which the "reserved" booths remained unoccupied, leading us to feel unjustly profiled due to our casual attire.
Moreover, the manager's intrusive presence added to our discomfort. Their over-attentiveness in clearing our plates made us feel rushed and unwelcome. The attitude of the management staff exudes a level of arrogance that significantly diminishes the dining experience, making us feel the urge to leave. The once-familiar and cherished diner is gone and has been transformed into an obnoxious restaurant adopting practices like mandatory valet parking that seem excessive considering the average food quality and subpar service.
Reflecting on this experience, we've decided not to return. It's a disappointing departure from the diner...
Read moreIf you're craving a taste of Greece right in the heart of Great Neck, New York, look no further than this gem of a restaurant. Nestled in a beautiful setting with just the right ambiance, it's the perfect spot for a special night out.
From the moment you step inside, the service is top-notch, making you feel right at home. The lighting sets the mood just right, adding to the overall dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the food. The octopus is an absolute delight - tender, perfectly seared, and bursting with flavor. And those beets? They're so tender, they practically melt in your mouth. But it's the sesame feta that steals the spotlight, with its sweet, sour, and savory notes all perfectly balanced, topped off with a delightful crispiness.
For mains, the branzino is as tender as can be, while the lobster pasta boasts generous portions that will leave you feeling satisfied. And let's not forget about those lamb chops - cooked to a perfect medium rare, they're a carnivore's dream.
Now, onto dessert, where the baklava ice cream steals the show with its unique twist on a classic favorite. It's the perfect way to end an already incredible meal.
Sure, it might be a bit pricey, but trust me, every bite is worth it. So, if you're in the mood for some mouthwateringly good Greek cuisine, make sure to pay this restaurant a visit. You won't be...
