My fiancee (now wife) were looking for a dance instructor for our wedding. We found Dance Reverie online, and booked a free lesson with Kyle. The initial lesson was easy going and very informative. We were already able to learn some basic dance steps after the one hour. After the free lesson, we decided to continue with Kyle as our instructor to help us learn a first dance for our wedding. What we liked most is that he was able to help us stay flexible with the routine, and he broke down the dance so we could see that each step wasn't so difficult to learn. He taught us a few steps at a time, until we were comfortable enough to add on more. By the end of the lessons, we were able to decide what we wanted to keep and how we wanted to make the dance our own.
Kyle is very knowledgeable and is a good and patient teacher. We were able to learn our wedding dance in 6 lessons (including the free one) and we were comfortable, albeit a little nervous, on our wedding day when we did our first dance in front of all our friends and family. It was a lot of fun and we were truly able to enjoy it because we had the confidence from the lessons behind...
Read moreABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Let me first say, my husband has two left feet. He can’t shake his hips for his life. The moment we worked with Kyle, we felt so comfortable. He worked with us and not the other way around - never felt judged or rushed to learn the moves. The great thing about Kyle is his teaching methods. Traditionally in dance lessons, if you mess up, they’ll make you start from the beginning which only teaches you to work on what you need help on. Kyle teaches you to continue moving and working with each other to understand each other’s bodies and sense of being. He taught us the basic foundations and coordination of dance moves that if we did mess up, we knew how to recover from it without feeling like the whole dance was ruined. Beyond that, Kyle is a funny guy. He’s so easygoing and talented in so many avenues. My husband and I loved his classes so much that we are considering taking dance lessons for fun! It really was a bonding moment for the both of us and taught us not only skills but the connection of our bodies. I would recommend this...
Read moreI have four words for you... KARI IS THE BEST!!!! My husband and I were trying really hard to learn the Rhumba on our own for our first dance at our wedding and we were able to get the basic steps down but obviously we knew we needed a real professionals touch to correct us and show us a trick or two! If you are getting married... and hunting for an amazing dance studio to learn a thing or two... Or even if you just want to have some fun and learn how to REALLY dance... This is DEFINITELY the place to go!!! Reasonable prices, flexible schedule, and Ive only worked with Kari as a private instructor so far but we LOVED her!! She really explained everything and took the time to make sure we would look our best! We actually really look forward to seeing her in the future and now we have so much fun dancing!! No more high school swaying here anymore! The studio isn't huge but its been enough and now crazy intimidating. Its a great space for beginnings to spin around the dance floor without getting overwhelmed and you can have some fun! Its very clean and...
