I cannot speaking highly enough of Herricks Jewelers. This store is family owned (woohoo!) and my family has been going to it for years, but it wasn't until recently that I was able to experience this gem as an adult. I stopped in after trying three other jewelers in hopes of taking some family jewelry and turning it into a wedding band that fit with my (low pronged) engagement ring. Some places I was told it wasn't possible, and some places said the stones weren't worth enough to reset them. At Herricks, I worked mostly with Mike and John, whose expertise and love of what they do was so evident from the second I walked into the store. I found it exhausting to search for a jeweler who would not only take the time to hear my ideas, evaluate the stones and metals I brought in without judgement, and prioritize sentimentality over current fads, but Mike immediately gave me his full, undivided attention. He was patient and receptive to both my ideas and my concerns, and he and John took the time to explain the science behind all of methods they used for the steps along the way. Everyone in the store truly make my ideas come to life (even the folks behind the scenes!).
When you walk into the store, you're not going to get the artificial, bright lights and white granite floors that you find at other jewelers-- but the work they do at Herricks Jewelers is genuine, meticulous, and beautiful from start to finish. I will be forever grateful they were able to give a second life to my grandmother's ring and for giving me an experience that will be one day passed down with my "new" jewelry.
Thanks Mike,...
Read moreI grew up in Williston Park and moved to Nesconset awhile ago. I can't find the same feeling from a jeweler here, like Herricks Jewelers gives me. When I need an item fixed or looking for a piece of jewelry, I come back here. It is worth the drive and nice to come back home too. The entire family here are a pleasure to deal with, honest, and accommodating. They will work with you and you never feel rushed when interacting with each other. When you find a business that is family owned and amazing, like here, you can't give them up. Thank you for being you...
Read moreWent here to get a ring resized and the results were rather sloppy. They didn't take the time to properly size my finger, and left the inside of the ring raw and scratched. The cost to resize the ring was fairly cheap compared to most places, but it definitely showed in the lack of quality. They gave us $4 for the decently sized piece of platinum they cut off instead of giving me the option to keep it for sizing up in the future. Ended up going to Gennaro in Bellmore and was much happier with...
