See my reply to owner below- ::: Wrapped and packed multiple boxes with computer equipment to be shipped to my son at college in Florida. Wanted to purchase insurance, but was told by the clerk, if something happened to the items and it wasn't packed by their staff, an insurance claim would be difficult to be paid on. So I paid additional money to have the store repack my already bubble wrapped items, also in sturdy boxes. We received the items in Florida with no additional packing materials, added bubble wrap or even packing peanuts. The computer, already in its original box was packed into another box, but placed on its side, glass door down! The two flat panel monitors were put into one bigger box, with absolutely nothing around or between them. One was pressed against the other putting direct pressure in the middle of the screen of the other box. I paid over $650 to ship and insure these items, with the understanding, the extra packing I paid for would actually be used to protect these expensive items under the "Higher," packing standards used by UPS. When I went back to the original clerk with the photos of their poor repack, he took a picture of my invoice, said he'd show the manager and get back to me. That never happened either... Many empty promises and alleged guarantees by this store and their staff. I'm sorry, it was a waste of money to allow this store to repack what was already exceptionally packed equipment by myself.
10-12 My reply to the Owner: As you noted, the Clerks stated, "I did an exceptional job packing these items." MOST PEOPLE DO NOT! It's a good thing I did, because as you can see from these photos, had I not thoroughly packed these items, your store would clearly have had a claim under the Pack & Ship Guarantee. Just look at the pushed in sides on the monitor box and sideways packed glass computer cabinet. Understand, I am not stating any of these items were damaged, other than several PC wire harnesses shaken loose. Nor did I ask for a full refund. That day, I did inquire about protecting the monitor boxes, especially when I was told they would both be put into one box in order to get the insurance. I was assured they would take the necessary steps. To me that meant something between them. Not placed one against the other, with absolutely NOTHING else as filler in the box. Your reply is worded as it appears in these photos; "We suggested that you allow us to take your boxes and DROP them into our boxes." "Once the service was paid for and the items were DROPPED into our boxes, you are completely covered for any loss or damage." As for the Computer Tower, in addition to the manufacturer box indicating Top/Front, I wrote in Red Marker, "This Side Up, Fragile Glass Panel." Yes, clearly this was misinterpreted, but I also did not expect repacking. Unfortunately, this should have been a "Teachable Moment," for you and your staff, rather than a customer feeling like an owner is defending their staff, for an obvious mistake in caring for that...
Read moreCompared to the Carle Place UPS Store(Avoid Avoid Avoid Carle Place UPS!!!!!!!!), this UPS store feels like a haven. The atmosphere here is not only professional but also incredibly welcoming, thanks to the friendly and gentle staff. Each time I walk through the doors, I’m greeted with genuine smiles and a willingness to help with whatever I need.
The customer service is beyond excellent. The team here truly goes the extra mile to make sure everything runs smoothly. Whether I’m shipping a package, printing important documents, or simply asking for advice, they always handle my requests with efficiency and care. I never feel rushed, and they take the time to answer any questions thoroughly.
What really sets this location apart is the staff’s attention to detail. They ensure packages are packed securely, label everything properly, and keep me updated on shipping times and options. The lines move quickly even during peak hours, and the team remains calm and collected, which creates a stress-free environment.
Moreover, the store is always clean and well-organized, making it easy to find additional services like mailbox rentals, notary assistance, or supplies. It's clear that the staff takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about their customers.
In contrast to the Carle Place UPS store, where I’ve had less-than-pleasant experiences, this location is a breath of fresh air. I now go out of my way to come here for all my shipping and business needs, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone seeking...
Read moreI understood we are in a very difficult environment nowadays but there is no reason to be rude. I usually go to the one on Utopia Parkway who has the most professional service, never have to worry even if they don't give me a receipt. I came here today because I was nearby and want to ship a big box with UPS preprinted label and saw ALOT of signs on where to stand and wait, felt like it was a little bit of an overkill. I dropped off the box with the most grumpy employee and when I asked for boxes, instead of telling me that they are running low, he immediately told me that I have to have an account? I told him yes, my company does and he begrudgingly tells me he is running low and some back and forth later, he gave me some. Before I can ask him for just one more, he just walk away... I get it that he could be under stress working in this environment right now but seriously, you don't think I am under stressed too having to ship the goods too for my company? I went home to pack the balance of stuff and went to Utopia and guess what, more professional service provided. Never again...
