Sonia's Florist — Local services in Town of North Hempstead

…truly speechless at the work they put into our flowers for our wedding and over a month after our wedding I am still wowed by their work. We met with a good amount of florists, from the big well known event florists, to small time flower shops. Sonia’s was the only one who actually listened to our vision and didn’t try to persuade us to go in a different direction. I don’t even know how we found Sonia’s, but we are SO happy we did. It is run by a Mother/Son duo, which we loved working with a smaller business that actually appreciated us and didn’t just look at us as a number. For our initial consultation, we met with Carlos, the son. He was very professional and knowledgeable and we left the meeting feeling great. We came back in two weeks to see our sample centerpiece and I was absolutely floored. The flowers looked massive and he arranged them so beautifully. We signed on the dotted line immediately. For our wedding day flowers, they personally delivered and set them up and were nice enough to stay till after my ceremony to take my sprays off the arbor we got married in front of and install them on our arch behind our sweetheart table for the reception - free of charge. When we were walking out of our ceremony, I saw Carlos and his mom and we ran over to compliment them on their work and I was so overwhelmed that I cried! I was just so taken back by the beauty they created and how much effort and time they put into our wedding day. I cannot recommend Sonia’s Florist enough and I highly suggest giving a lesser known florist a chance...

I can't believe you have a 4.7 rating... I used from you flowers and the bouquet you sent my girlfriend was an embarrassment especially since I paid a lot of money for everything I got from you guys.

I was under the assumption that my girlfriend's bouquet was going to be larger due to the picture in the confirmation email. You guys gave her next to nothing. I could've found more flowers in the Sahara Desert and made her a larger bouquet myself!

I work hard for my money and I don't appreciate being misled just because you wanna make a few bucks. I reported you guys to from you flowers and they used a different floral shop for re-delivery and they gave me exactly what I should have had.

I will be reaching out to the Better Business Bureau and I'll be reporting you guys for false advertisement. If I wanted to be embarrassed I would have gotten dead flowers out of a K-mart dumpster. I could've gotten more flowers for less money at a Shoprite but I wanted my girl to get something special and you dropped the ball and embarrassed me.

If anybody reading this wants to spend big bucks and get next to nothing then this is the floral...

We came to Sonia’s for wedding flowers after not having our expectations met with other florists that were recommended to us. Carlos quickly impressed us with his knowledge, attitude, and professionalism. I’m a visual person, meaning I can’t imagine how something would look unless I see it done in the way I’m expecting it to look. Normally, a florist might just hold the flowers in their hand for you to see, but instead, Carlos prepared a whole arrangement for us to get the full experience. He even went out of his way to order the colors we discussed so we could see how it all looked together. We ended up needing to double the amount of centerpieces about two weeks before the date and as stressful as that could’ve been, Carlos was able to meet our needs and did an absolutely beautiful and amazing job. We don’t live in Long Island, but I’d love to support this business any chance I get in the future....
