Honestly a real local Optician who acts like one! Everyone in there is professional and they take heir time helping you. I will be going back for myself (I went with other family members) so the review will get edited once I get a better feel for the place.
Update: So I went there for my first visit (not for a family member like previous visits) and of course I needed to have my eyes checked. The optometrist saw me in under 5 minutes. The routine started off fine.
As I asked a question or two his behavior became what I can only describe as hostile. Figuring everyone has an off day, I brushed it off. Nopes, this man became increasingly agitated when I was unable to answer questions. It's my first time in my life I've ever needed anything more than sunglasses. I tried to explain this but it apparently infuriated him more. Eventuality I was accosted multiple times. Being the person I am and knowing I am in his world I went along with it.
Toward the end I asked if I may close the door to ask a question. He agreed. When I asked "do you find it appropriate to berate and speak to customers in a demeaning manner or is there something..." he interrupted me and yelled "open that door! You can't imprison me to question me! Who do you think I am? ".
So I figured this person is a rare type that believes that the "doctor" title entitles them to look down on people. So I left the exam room. I did voice my concerns to the staff, but this failed to gain the attention of the owner. I actuality think as the owner looked on (i only discovered who the owner was after dinner online searching, but i do recall how they looked), he probably felt I may have been the source of the disruption and that affected the overall service I received. This is disturbing as I would think the owner would try to help out. No, no such thing here.
Still I stand by my previous review but I will certainly refuse to see that optometrist if I needed to see one. One bad apple won't remove a star, but I would like to know why the hostility from this optometrist and lack of action...
Read moreI can't say enough good things about Vision World! After a frustrating experience at another eyeglass store, where my daughter’s frames were no longer available after a three-week wait, we decided to cancel the order and try our luck elsewhere. That led us to Vision World, and it truly turned out to be a blessing in disguise!
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest staff who made us feel welcome and appreciated. It’s so clear that everyone here genuinely enjoys their work and loves helping people. This was my daughter’s first time getting glasses, and after feeling nervous and disheartened from our previous experience, she immediately felt comfortable and at ease at Vision World. They have a great selection of frames for kids, and they made her feel not just confident but beautiful!
What really stood out to me was how the staff treated every customer like family. They took the time to ask about their lives, their families, and made everyone feel valued and cared for. It’s such a warm, inviting place—you can truly tell they love what they do. I don’t even wear glasses myself, but after seeing how wonderful this place is, I wish I did just to go back!
We placed our order for my daughter's glasses on a Saturday afternoon, and we were pleasantly surprised when they called us just two days later on Monday to let us know they were ready for pick-up! When we arrived, they made sure the glasses fit perfectly and were comfortable for my daughter.
I can’t recommend Vision World enough. From now on, my whole family will be coming here for all our eye care needs. This...
Read moreThe gift of sight! I struggled for years not being able to read fine print with my contact lenses. I constantly had to reach for my reading glasses everywhere I went. I was worried about work because reading spreadsheets and sitting in front of the computer became a constant struggle. Then I just gave up and started to wear my prescription glasses full time.
My life changed because of Vision World in Albertson. I met with Dr. Winograd who suggested Multifocal contact lenses. For decades, I went to a different Optical place closer to where I lived - big mistake! At my former place, I was never offered anything to help me with my struggles. The atmosphere at Vision World in Albertson is the most welcoming feeling you will ever experience. I was amazed to see how many people truly cared about me. When I was seated in front of a computer wearing my new Multifocal lenses, I was overwhelmed by joy (and relief!) how I could see clearly in contacts! Paul and the entire staff go above and beyond to see to it that you are happy, satisfied and most of all… that your needs are met! Everyone is so patient, friendly, caring and brilliant! Yes! Brilliant! Each and every employee presented a wealth of knowledge! The follow up after my initial visit was even more impressive! Trust me when I say… go to Vision World in Albertson and experience this magnificent...
