I have been waiting for this place to open for a LONG time. A ramen shop so close to me! So when they finally opened on Sunday, I had to go immediately and show support. It’s one of those long and kind of narrow shaped space (like you’d see in Manhattan). There’s an open kitchen in the back left and the long walkway that passes their bubble tea station and further down to 2 non-gender specific (and strangely spacious) bathrooms. The decor is modern and clean with really high ceilings with wood and stone panels adding to the spacious feel. Being part of a small chain, they had their logo on everything. So to give a it a proper try, we ordered a variety of things. Takoyaki balls (the deep fried squid balls), the Kara-age (japanese deep fried chicken, 6 per order), the charsiu buns (2 per order), the charsiu ramen, and the spicy miso ramen. The takoyaki was probably the best - hot, with a crispy crust, creamy inside with little squid chunks and the bonito flakes on top that wriggle in the heat. The karaage was eh - the main reason I order this elsewhere is for the juicy chicken and flavor of the light batter but this was just kind of dense and dry. The buns were good but could have used a little more charsiu. But this charsiu was good (maybe due to the sauce?). Now for the ramen. Both broths were decent - the spicy miso kind of tasted like the one in the charsiu one but with some chili oil, but otherwise less salty than what I’m used to (just on the right side of bland). The charsiu was kind of disappointing - 3 big slices but they looked kind of blowtorched rarther than well roasted. And the egg was more like a regular hard boiled egg rather than the soft boiled egg typically found. Also, I found bits of the other kind of meat for their other ramen in my bowl which makes me wonder about how well they’re keeping stuff separate. But the absolute saving grace were the noodles. They were thin and wavy noodles and they had the absolute perfect bite which magically lasted from first to last slurp. I will have to come and try some more dishes for a final view. The service was a bit uncoordinated but they just opened so totally can’t be held against them. I look forward to coming back and trying more stuff...

The staff was very nice but the ramen was just not great, even for Long Island quality ramen. The broth is very watery whereas other places have it slightly thick because they cook it for a long period of time. Therefore it lacked a lot of flavor and tasted like instant ramen to be honest. My spicy miso ramen was barely spicy. The broth was nowhere close to red but just had a sliver of spicy oil on top but doesn’t have the spicy paste it usually comes with. It comes with a full egg versus half an egg but other places would at least add a green veggie, corn, or bamboo shoots. Items that cost just 50 cents or less. I do appreciate that the ramen noodles were al dente however. It was a disappointing visit considering the reviews that I have seen here, but perhaps those reviewers have not had authentic ramen before. I was also surprised that it’s a chain restaurant and that they had restaurants in the West and Mid-West so I had higher...

Just tried out this place the other day with my family and it was fantastic. The broth in the ramen seemed authentic and home-made. There was no pasty aftertaste like I have encountered with other Ramen places on the Island. My wife had the stir fry udon noodles which were excellent. Again no salty aftertaste. I suspect this restaurant uses very little MSG and fresher quality products. I'm eager to see if they can continue to replicate the quality of the meals that we experienced. It's difficult for any restaurant to have a variety of menu items that are impressive. In my experience, most restaurants seem to have their specialty dishes. Whereas every dish we had at this restaurant was excellent. My kids had the brown sugar bubble teas which they thoroughly enjoyed. We definitely...

Ordered the beef donburi. It’s about $14 dollars with tax. It was half full and a thin layer of beef. Value for money I would have expected more. I appreciate the response from the owner. However the picture speaks for itself. Anyone else that had the same issues with regards to the portion size please share. I will order again in the near future and if the order has the thin layer of beef and not being filled to the line I will either update this post or repost with the order. It should not be on a case by case basis. I really want a good ramen shop near my house. I would hope that the portion was reasonable for the price people pay for a few slices of beef and onions and some rice.

ichiddo Ramen is an absolute gem! Their curry ramen is a delightful fusion of flavors that tantalize the taste buds with each slurp. The takoyaki (octopus balls) are a must-try, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Not only is the food delicious, but the prices are also incredibly reasonable, making it a fantastic value for the quality. The Japanese-style decor creates a cozy atmosphere that is perfect for a family outing. Overall, ichiddo Ramen is a top-notch choice for a satisfying and affordable meal that the whole family will love.
