I had a wonderful purchasing experience at the store when we decided on the make and model of the Speed Queen washer/dryer set we wanted. The reason for 3 stars is due to us paying for delivery/installation for the set, which wasn't cheap, and the incompetent delivery men who left us with a washer that was leaking in the back because the installer didn't screw the valve on properly. Minutes after they left I was shocked to see the water pouring out of the back as I was trying to start a load of laundry. The guy did perform a quick test of turning the dial, turning the water on; showing me basically that it works. Never thought to check the back to make sure the valve isn't gushing water. I did not want to let this incident go, therefore I am leaving this review to warn others to check and recheck the installer's work on the spot. No matter how much in a rush they may be to wrap up, collect their tip and leave. I complained and had to wait a day for someone to come and correct the situation. I made sure the repairmen checked the dryer installation, since the last thing I need is the gas to leak too. I expected better from Appliance World and they should evaluate the work of their installers. If the delivery and installation simply went as it should have, I definitely would have given 5 stars straight away. A small note- when the delivery guys came, I went out to greet them and told them to pull into our long driveway (which is a wrap around type- so no reversing out) and enter through our back door which was a straight walk to our basement steps. The guy refused saying they are not allowed to pull into driveways (fine), but that they have to go through the front door which has a lot of obstacles/turns to get to the basement. A bit ridiculous when these guys are telling you what to do in your own house. After seeing how difficult it would be to bring in the appliances from the front door, they agreed and used...

We decided to look for the place with the cheapest price, since it was backordered everywhere, and Appliance World had the best price out of everyone. It was over $100 cheaper here than anywhere else. We called and ordered the item over the phone. The next day, they placed the order and told me it would be available at the end of the week. I was shocked since no one else had this item and was not expecting this item anytime in the near future. They told me, they were getting a few of them in this week and one would be put aside for us. When it came in, at the end of the week as promised, we went and picked it up. They were so helpful and accommodating to our availability for pick up. Came across Appliance World and stopped in. I was directed to Brendan Scharen . He was very knowledgeable and tho much of item i was looking for wasnt in stock or would take a long time to be available, he said give him few days and he let me know what was available . He had one is stock where i never heard of company and i was skeptical about getting it . Couple calls and asking Brendan questions about it I decided to go with it cause i felt he wasnt steering me in worng direction. He got me a delivery date and even worked around my work schedule .
