iFixScreens Hicksville — Local services in Town of Oyster Bay

Short version: GO TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION, THIS LOCATION IS CARELESS. I usually use a different location, but I travel a lot for work, so I could only make it to the Hicksville location. My charging port on my personal cell phone was not working. This had happened to me once before and I took it to a different location and they fixed it up good as new. I called the Hicksville location this time since I would be out there and asked for their hours. The man told me it would take 20 minutes to fix my phone and told me to come in any time. I was grateful, because I didn't have a lot of time that day. I came in about 45 minutes before closing and the associate told me I was "cutting it close" but he took my phone anyway. In a matter of less than two minutes he told me nothing was wrong with my phone and it was just because I wasn't using a Samsung charger. That did not seem likely to me since I have an Samsung as my work cell phone as well as my personal cell phone and only the personal cell phone was giving me trouble. But he took me to the back and showed me that what the phone looked like on the original Samsung charger, it appeared to be charging okay. While I was skeptical, I was desperate for my phone to be fixed. I need to charge my phone to use the GPS as I drive, so I purchased an original Samsung charger from him for almost $40. When I plugged the cable in to my car charger USB port (without the wall plug) it didn't fast charge... it slow charged (which was exactly what my replacement charger cable was doing) so the purchase was useless. I decided to purchase a wireless charger from another location and sure enough, it worked. But I figured at least it would be nice to have an extra charger with the wall plug. No, over the past few weeks the charger (with the wall plug) has been overheating in a matter of 15 minutes or less and not charging either of my phones correctly. I broke out an old, non-Samsung replacement charger and at least it charges my work cell phone like normal. So, not only did this guy not look closely enough at my phone to see that there was something wrong with my charging port, he also sold me a faulty charger. It is a hassle to go all the way back out to Hicksville to ask for my money back, especially since this sleazy guy might give me a hard time giving me my money back since he was willing to sell me a $40 charger instead of taking a good look at my phone and replacing the port for what he had said earlier over the phone would be $60. I'll just have to wait a few days and try to get myself in at my preferred...

Y'all these reviews are no joke. I came in with a Samsung Galaxy S22+ that had been run over by 2 cars. I entered this store tired and sweaty since I came from TWO DIFFERENT STORES that did not have the screen for this phone, biked a total of 7.6 miles. Lloid greeted me at the counter. This man tells it to you straight. He instantly goes to the back and checks for me. He comes back up and tells me that they can not only fix my phone, but for $65 cheaper than the other place my friend suggested before I landed here. He quoted me, tells me my screen would be done in 45min-1hr. Most places have you waiting for a MINIMUM of 3 hours. I pay, come back in 45 minutes. This time Subhan, the man who repaired my phone greets me. He looks young but bro. This man is an artist. My phone looks near brand new, sans the scratches and dents from the cars that hit it. My screens fixed, my volume is better, no dead pixels or spots on the screen. And they were even concerned for me having a good enough case for my phone. Idk how many times I thanked them, but I'm doing it again. THANK Y'ALL SO MUCH. I'll post the before and after photos of the screen...

Brought in an iphone 6 with a cracked lcd/screen. Everything worked except the screen was cracked and the lcd was bleeding. The phone was still usable. They fixed it and gave it back to me, within a few minutes my daughter figured out that the phone was really hot. I called the store, went back and he said it was fixed and tried to tell I needed a new battery. I insisted the battery worked when bringing in it. He tinkered a bit and returned it. We left happily and my daughter received a call, the person could hear her but she couldn't hear the caller and the speaker wasn't working. So I went back again!! He opened the phone and now said my speaker/camera wire isn't working. At that point I was furious. Everything worked properly when brought in just a cracked screen. Needless to say he replaced the wire and we left for the 3rd...
