I can undoubtedly say I do not recommend Jack and Rose florist. When my husband and I started looking for vendors we decided to go with them because the reviews seemed decent and the prices were unbeatable. After I had already made my first payment I found negative reviews but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I kept telling myself even if they weren’t my dream flowers they would still look nice. Boy was I wrong. Let’s start from the beginning. From the very first meeting Patty sits there and talks about everything and anything under the sun except your flowers. She’ll tell you all about her nieces and how many years she’s been in the business. I came with Pinterest boards of ideas she did not take 1 picture as an inspiration for what I wanted. She said yes of course to everything I asked for while scribbling away on a pad. I’m not a florist. I don’t know flower names. She’s rattling off names telling me it’s what is in the picture and to trust her. Then she goes to the back to talk to jack about prices. Comes back with a contract. Surprise cash only business and the atm in the shop. Fast forward to my second meeting I wanted to cry. She shows me the “mock up” of my centerpiece and It is hideous. I asked for no green there were green leaves everywhere. I asked for big roses and small roses, hydrangeas, shades of white and blush pink. It looked like a centerpiece for Barbie. I paid extra money on the spot to add more roses and get rid of the green. She promised me the roses were only dark because of the weather and that they would be blush pink the day of. Then because I was so upset about the centerpiece I went to review my bouquets. I asked for dusky blue or light blue accent flowers in mine and blush pink roses in the bridesmaid bouquets. She starts gas lighting me that the stress of the wedding is clouding my memory and she knows I only asked for white roses. I pull up my pictures she shows me the signed contract. She goes to the back room and I hear jack say “that’s the wrong contract” so i jump up and run back there screaming I told you this isn’t what I asked for. 4 edits to the contract later I went to the car thinking she finally got It right. NO I had to send my fiancé back in because I couldn’t argue anymore. Now I had 8 centerpieces but closer to the wedding and I ended up condensing my tables and I wanted them to spilt the 8th centerpiece into 2 smaller arrangements. After arguing for 20 minutes she agreed. It was as if I was asking for a kidney not to stick 10 roses in one vase and 10 in another . At one point she said she was just going to show up with the centerpiece and I could just put It somewhere the day of. At this point I’m frustrated but I can’t do much I already paid. IN CASH. Three days before the wedding she texts me a whole list of my flowers. Everything is wrong. The number of centerpieces, where they go, the flower girl petals. I called upset hashed It out with her. She assures me the flowers will be there at 8:30. Now that’s important. THEY DAY OF THE WEDDING: 8:30 comes and goes 9:30 comes and goes it’s now 10 am. I’m freaking out. I’m not getting the pictures I want because I’m furiously texting these people they’re telling me they’re on the premises and the catering hall is saying they aren’t and their not answering my phone calls. So I call and call I’m getting sent to voicemail. Until I finally exploded and left a voicemail saying I was going to sue if they didn’t get me my flowers. Boom florist shows up. The dusky blue flowers were purple. The blush roses, bright pink. The petals, half dead. The 8the centerpiece that was split missing flowers and had some random ugly things I didn’t ask for. The vases dirty as hell with finger prints and I asked for them to be cleaned he didn’t do It. Everyone, every single vendor in that place felt sorry for me. We got married January 24th of this year and among the many delightful things we heard from our guests, many were impressed with our florals. We first met people from Jack & Rose at a bridal showcase at Met Life where we were given a flyer for 50% off their services. We made an appointment just to hear what they had to offer and actually had a consultation with another florist right after. At first, were a bit skeptical because the pricing seemed a little too reasonable for what we wanted. My now husband, gave me a look and convinced me that we should book with Jack & Rose, and to be very honest, I'm glad we did! I have to admit, when I was looking at reviews after we gave a deposit, I felt like we made a big mistake but I honestly don't know what other people are talking about because the process was extremely easy from start to finish. Patty was an excellent communicator throughout it all, listened to what we wanted, gave input when necessary, and was invested in achieving our vision. Our floral arrangements were absolutely gorgeous and my bouquet was everything I wanted and perfectly complemented our wedding theme.
