Update: Less than a week and my polish is already chipping!!
I just went for my first time at this salon. I normally do gel and my regular salon is quite far from where I live. But lately I've gotten away from gel, and decided to go somewhere new and local for just a simple manicure and some polish. I figured with "natural" in the name it would be a good place to start. Overall, my experience was decent. I had a manicure and a predicure. Everything has been updated to reflect COVID-19 prevention measures, so that was understandable and in no way gave me any negative feeling about the salon or anything being done there.. thank you for that. So, I requested a French manicure and at the time, my nails needed a little bit of maintenance, shaping and mine were very short. I like them short, too.. these maybe were a bit too short, but from MY OWN trimming beforehand. The process was sanitary and gentle and the massage was very good! I picked the French polish colors and she did a couple of coats.. I did notice later that the white tips (hand-painted) were not very straight, however. It was difficult too see them while being painted with the plexi-shield cover. So when I was getting my pedicure, I noticed them more but they were already drying. I'm spoiled with gel because they always look perfect and no dry-time! The masseuse woman during my manicure however was amazing!! That helped the overall experience a lot. The pedicure was also very good! Simple, quick and also painted French. My painted toes actually looked cleaner than my nails! I will say for the price, it was just ok. I knew it was going to be pricey, but I was asked to pay before the services, so I feel like I paid (quite a bit) and my experience was just ok. Maybe if I had chosen a color for the nails instead, it would have turned out better? Maybe my nails were too short? Maybe the technician's hand was not so steady? But if it's a professional nail technician, I feel like that shouldn't matter, that is the service I'm paying for. Especially for the cost of it. From a slight distance, they do look ok. But up close, I feel like I could have maybe done those uneven white lines myself. For the price, I did expect the French on my fingers (that everyone sees) to be much better. Maybe I'm a perfectionist. It wasn't anything personal, everyone there was nice. I will say it was not chemical-smelling. Music was good, overall relaxing too. Not sure if I will try this salon again or not. But give that masseuse a raise!...
Read moreMy mother and I visited this salon expecting top-tier experience—especially with a final bill of over $350 for just two gel pedicures and two gel manicures. Unfortunately, what we got was far from luxury. I love non-toxic products so I’m willing to pay for just that.
From the moment I sat down, my nail tech was cold, dismissive, and made it clear she had no interest in servicing me. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt until I asked a simple question: “Are you going to clean under my nails?” She looked at me, said nothing, then handed me the tool and expected me to do it myself. The audacity. I said “no thanks you can do that.”
For a salon charging premium prices, the bare minimum should be professionalism and basic hygiene. Instead, we left feeling disrespected and taken advantage of. Needless to say, we won’t...
Read moreTHIS PLACE IS OVERPRICED AND THE STAFF IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND HIGHLY INCOMPETENT! I CALLED ON SATURDAY 1/6/24 AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR MONDAY 1/8/24 @ 3:00PM. UPON MY ARRIVAL I WAS TOLD “DO YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TODAY?” I REPLIED YES AND TO MY SURPRISE THE WOMAN REPLIED “I THOUGHT YOU WERE COMING IN ON SATURDAY NOT TODAY.” (RIDICULOUS BECAUSE WE CONFIRMED THE APPOINTMENT UPON SPEAKING ON SATURDAY) WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME. THE FEW TIMES I HAVE PREVIOUSLY HAD SERVICES AT THIS PLACE I FELT RUSHED AND UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THE ARROGANT STAFF. THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH MY HARD EARNED MONEY OR MY TIME AND THEY NEED COMPETENT PEOPLE SCHEDULING...
