Spice Hub - Indian Fusion in Syosset, NY — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

This is such a delightful and much needed place in the area. We stopped in on a whim as a result of birthday anxiety and indecision, and it was honestly one of the best decisions we ever made. We’re no strangers to Indian food but we still like to ask for opinions to gauge what the experts who run the place like best.

We ended up getting samosas, mushroom masala, bhindi masala (okra), lamb rogan josh, and butter chicken - which we rarely order. And a mango lassi, butter naan and a roti.

Everything was stellar - bright and balanced flavors that only freshly cooked food can have. It didn’t have the saltiness and heaviness that can happen when food has been cooked that morning but left simmering on the back of the stove all day. This freshness resulted in a butter chicken we want to order every time. You could see and taste the tomato in the sauce - and the spices. The proteins in both meat dishes were tender and flavorful. We honestly can’t decide which of all the dishes we like best because the mushroom, okra, samosas and breads were also so good.

The spice level was perfect. We could technically handle spicier, but the balance was satisfying and didn’t need to become a game of how hot can you handle because it was just so good. Complex, nuanced and flavors not muddled at all.

Last but not least the hospitality and kindness. The right level of attention, and so warm - it felt like we were eating with old friends around us. The space is very clean and comfortable. This is not a fancy place but who needs fancy when the service and ambience make it so easy to just be and think about the good food and company around you? Even their gestures of kindness as we were wrapping up leftovers - so thoughtful.

The meal ended with the biggest gesture of all when they surprised me with a cake and awesome sparkling candle, plus a big happy birthday. We were already huge fans after eating the meal but this made me feel super warm and fuzzy. I/we can’t thank everyone enough. Can’t wait to go back and try more...

I recently dined at Spice Hub, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience that transported me straight to the heart of India. From start to finish, everything was impeccable.

The ambiance was warm and inviting, with beautiful Indian decor that set the perfect mood. The staff's hospitality was exceptional; they were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, guiding us through the culinary delights of India.

Now, let's talk about the food - it was absolutely divine! The flavors were authentic and vibrant, showcasing the rich and diverse Indian cuisine. I tried the Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb tikka, Lasuni Gobhi and it was a burst of flavors that I won't soon forget. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was exquisite.
