Pickle Island (Horman’s Best Pickles & Comic Books) — Local services in Town of Oyster Bay

I came across this little gem today while driving and decided to stop in and check it out. The owner was super friendly and explained to us the different flavors of pickles and stuff he had in the store. We decided to try the horseradish pickles and the garlic sour ones. They were delicious!!! The horseradish are unlike anything I've ever had!!! We also tried an Arnold Palmer slushee which was pretty good.

They have some really neat stuff in here. Different pickles, pickled veggies, snacks, unique sodas, movies, stickers...

I stepped into Pickle Island to buy a cold drink on a very hot day. The visit truly exceeded my expectations. I love products that taste like maple syrup and bought a slushy cup of maple lemonade that was just right, and not too sweet. It is difficult not to notice the video tapes and CDs lining the wall, along with a cool video game machine in front of the store. The items brought me back to my childhood. Great place if you love comics, CDs, cassette and VHS tapes and of course, pickles. We grabbed the honey mustard and the spicy sours and they are both excellent.
