The food and the environment at Mill Creek are both incredible! The staff is always super friendly and Rich, the owner, is often there greeting people, checking on tables and really giving it the amazing local restaurant feel.
My husband and I also hired Rich and his team to cater our off premises wedding and we would recommend them to anyone and everyone without hesitation!! Not only was the food amazinggg, from the hor d'ourves to the dessert (none of our guests could stop talking about it) but Rich and his team went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He worked with us for 6 months leading up to the event and was at the outdoor venue almost every day the week prior to the event making sure that all of the rentals were taken care of and that we had a backup plan if it rained. He even came up with an amazing idea for late night snacks that included hot dogs, soft pretzels, churros, and italian ices for our guests as they were leaving. People were blown away (us included). He also sent out mini root beer floats to people on the dance floor and provided special (and delicious) gluten free meals for a couple of our guests with celiacs disease! I could go on and on.
The point is, go to Mill Creek for a meal and if you're having a party - hire them!! You won't...
Read moreHello. My wife and I came for a nice night out. We ordered the lobster bisque soup. It was great until she found a black hair in her soup. When we asked someone to ask our waitress to come back over, she never came. We asked the same person again and a waiter, not ours, asked what the matter was. It had to be about 15 minutes after the fact. My wife was hoping for another soup but the waiter, who was not our waiter, said "Okay, no problem" when my wife stated there was a hair in her soup. We were a little disappointed that another soup was not offered. The dinner was tasty. I do have to say that. The customer service, however, was not great. And, unfortunately, it wasn't just our table. The table next to us and behind us also sent back food items: undercooked noodles and something else that we only caught the end of the discussion between waiter and guest. Also, when we asked for a refill on our water, we had to ask multiple times because we were never brought it. By this point it was the end of the meal while we were waiting...
Read moreWent for a nice hike & gardens around Oyster Bay. So this place was recommended to me by Google maps & decided to come here.
When you go inside: the bar is the first thing you see. It was confusing, because we were looking for a hostess or someone to sit us for a few minutes. Finally got someone's attention & they sat us inside the restaurant. 🦋So we arrived during happy hour. But they said we have to sit at the bar if want to partake in the happy hour options...but we wanted to be in the restaurant...so dissapointing honestly.
🦋Our waitress was knowledgeable & patient. 🦋 bread with butter on the table (not a fan of that butter at all) 🦋espresso martini was good. 🦋buffalo spring rolls were good (but very small for the quantity) 🦋mac & cheese side (1. It's penne and 2. Missing something) we weren't a fan 🦋Shepherds Pie was alright, nothing special. I guess I was hoping & expecting more flavor.
Overall, nice local place, with nice staff and location. But the prices for the quality of food...
