Old Tappan Brew Co — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

My friend and I went here last night and had a terrible experience, I would not recommend this brewery to anyone.

We grabbed a flight and started to try some of the beers. Those selections were not to our taste and left reasonable but honest feedback on another platform. The bartender saw the feedback, came over to our table, grabbed several unfinished beers, poured them out and told us we were done.

We immediately left the store to have the bartender follow us out into the parking lot, curse us out, say some very rude things, and told us never to come back. Completely unacceptable behavior. Rest assured, I will never return, no one that I know will go and I ask that anyone reading this consider the same.

This was an opportunity for the brewery to speak with us and understand where we were coming from. If the feedback was so personal, why not ask us not to review it, or incentivize us with a refund to leave a good impression for the future? I feel a more reasonable person would not have behaved in such a disrespectful, ignorant and mean-spirited way for honest feedback. Since when is a Beer House child friendly? When I walked in the other night I thought I was at a day care center, not a Brewery. The parents primary focus was imbibing and socializing, while the kids ran amok. Law Enforcement and Children Services would have a field day with arrests after parents put their kids in the car to drive home after having a couple of Pints. The Law states you are not allowed to use alcohol and drive and nothing to do with intoxication and impairment. Long Island is in Crisis resulting from substance abuse disorder. Ask any chronic drug or alcohol user what their parents attitude was towards drugs and alcohol and you will understand why drugs and alcohol impacted their lives. Great little brewery right over the bridge I have had several of their beers and I can say nothing bad about any of them they all taste great. They have games and snacks and its a great atmosphere in there. Im actually having one of their beers at home while I write this review as they have recently started canning their beers and I have to say its awesome!! Only thing I can say is that $20 for a 4 pack of 16oz beers is a bit pricey for me but I guess they've got to turn a profit one way or another, this isnt anheuser-busch’s brewery !!
