I've had three negative experiences here and will no longer be shopping here for products that are available on Amazon. My first experience was with one of the black male workers stocking up products. As I was looking around, he began stocking shelves behind me and walking back and forth doing his job. Because I was standing in an aisle I naturally moved aside to allow myself room. After a few times, he says to me "you don't need to move, if I needed you to move I would've said excuse me". I chose to ignore him. It happened again and this time his tone of voice was louder and more aggressive saying "I told you already if I needed you to move I would've told you" I decided to leave that aisle as I have the right to move for my own comfort as well WITHOUT anyone's permission. His tone indicated to me that he was looking for a reaction and perhaps confrontation and I feel that ruined and ended my shopping experience. I've shopped at the store again but try to be quick and make sure there are other female shoppers present in the aisle with me since the store is usually empty.
Update: 7/30/23 I have purchased dozens of products at a time well over $100 each visit and the ONE time I walked back in to return something right after my purchase that I didn't realize I purchased the "manager" gave me a hard time and right as I walked out after receiving my refund he somehow rang the alarm on me as the other employees smiled and said it's OK? Well it's not okay to do that to someone that just spend hundreds of dollars in your store and returned ONE item.
8/6/23 12:50p.m The manager once again gave me a hard time. After purchasing over $100 as I was walking out of the store I was approached by the manager who said I should've notified him that I spilled a product although I only dropped a product and placed it back on the shelf I told him that I'm human and yes i did drop something off the shelf and He persisted that I should've notified them of that. Perhaps he wanted to charge me for dropping a product? Who knows, but I asked for a manager and the old Asian man and all other employees said he is the manager and when I asked him for his name he asked why and I said because each time I come here he gives me an issue then harasses me over it such as ringing a fake alarm for returning one of many products minutes after my purchase.
Clearly, he doesn't know how to run a business and likes to humiliate customers. If he can't handle a simple return or dropped product or other minor inconvenience then he should not be working here.
I really should have returned all my items but I will choose to shop on Amazon instead where all of the same products can be found and delivered to my home. Attached is one of my receipts which you can see for yourself of a customer they don't value. Do...
Read moreDO NOT SHOP HERE!!! Myself as well as friends and family have been dedicated customers to their Islip location for years. We were excited and anticipated the arrival of their Massapequa location, its way more, convenient in regards to travel. We have been patronizing this location since Fall of 2018, their grand opening. Unfortunately today has ruined and lead to regret every spending a dime, or recommending people to their store. On two recent occasions I purchased products for my daughter and myself. But when I decided to change hairstyles I returned these items.
I explained to the cashier I was there to return several items from two previous purchases for which I had receipts for and were in unopened packages. She proceeded to tell me she needed to check the dates, seeing that they have a 3day return policy. I pointed out to her on the counter it stated a 7 day policy to which she replied she was uncertain of that policy. She then asked another cashier who also confirmed their alleged 3 day policy. I forgot to mention my items were purchased on Friday and today is Sunday.
I asked to speak to the manager, a tall Asian man with a name tag that read Paul S. came to the register. Without a hello, how may I help you or any form of professional greeting. He proceeds to snatch my receipts off the counter and glance at the items, scan them and throw them in a box. At this time I am informed that I can not return a drawing kids ponytail in a nasty tone. So I inform him that I was never told that at the time of purchase. He tells me it’s on my receipt. I don’t know about anyone else but most of the times hen you’re in a hurry you don’t read the fine print of the receipt until you are home. As long as all the money adds up. I explain to him he needs go train his staff of the stores policy and procedure in regards to purchases and returns. He begins to yell at me how he’s not taking it back. All the while never once making eye contact with me which I took as disrespect.
Upon the completion of the sale I leave and return to my car. As I’m reading my receipt I notice that I didn’t receive the proper amount of money for a deep conditioner I return. I then go back into the store and was told that the conditioner is now on sale. Well I paid full price so I expect my money back. You wouldn’t sell me a full priced item at a sale price. Paul S. again with more attitude and disrespect this time than last time returned the remainder of money. I kindly let them know they have officially lost several customers. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
P.S. I was allowed to return several packs of crochet hair. Neither Paul S. Nor his staff ever examined either the crochet hairs packs or the ponytail packs to see if they were tampered with. So much for...
Read moreWent in for a wig, excited they allowed try ons. Ask to use the restroom, was turned down, first dissatisfaction. I mean, if you'll let multiple people try on the same wig display, why not open up the restroom? Anyways, I respected their decision.
I preceded to the back, saw a gentleman on my way, asked about the wigs, he said someone will help me. I pranced around the wig area, no one. The owner walks to the back, straight past me, let me continue to wait for someone to attend to me. OK.
I then walk back to the gentleman that advised someone will assist and told him no one is there He said, "that's not my area, the guy should be right back."
Well remember, I was denied restroom use so I'm kinda trying to take my mind of the fact I have to use the restroom, So I walk to the front to get needed lashed. They were locked up. I asked the gentleman if someone would unlock the lashes. He said yes. I stood there, waiting as he forgot about me. I watched him focused gave him the eye, and then he'll like oh your ready? Uh, yes sir, I walk in thos store ready.
I walk again to the back, no one is there. I then see the owners son in the stocking area and say, "HELLO!" and a misterious voice comes from the out of service styling room. He walks out, I say Im looking for aomeone to help with wigs, he goes, that's me
Finally! I don't find the wig I need, but I do like the lashes.
I go to pay. The woman charges my card, hands me the items without a bag.
I say, oh, no bag. She goes, it's 50 cents.
Well, unfortunate for me, I dont have change on me.
I tell her I don't have change, and I wasn't offered a bag before hand, and asked if she would like to charge the bag.
She doesn't respond, and begrudgingly puts my items in a bag and passes it to me.
The store was very neat and clean with a vast selection, however the customer service made me never want to return. I will be going back to Lucky's which is a smaller store, but they are about community. The people talk to yoy ask to help even if you're looking at...
