No consistency between the two UPS stores I go to for Amazon return . I usually return 3x a month at another store because transactions are smoother. A few months ago, one guy at this store advised in an authoritative tone that I should have LEFT my original label on the box(?) when amazon instructions read to REMOVE all labels & usually do not bring a box. The other store always tells me no problem they will pack etc,. Yesterday I'm wondering why the guy behind the counter charged me $2 when I returned an Amazon item that read free return, no boxes needed, LabelLess UPS drop off on my QR sheet because I brought the ELECTRONIC HAIR BRUSH in its original box (SMALL)inside the box that amazon shipped it in just incase he needed the shipping box so he can see it is a brush. I politely told him I didn't think he needed that box and I would have taped it at home, He said, in a raised tone , " I want you to tape it at home, I don't need to see it," and then pointed on the copy of the QR code that it reads customer packed..but it also reads labelLess. Not sure if Amazon changed rules, I paid with a smile NO receipt for the $2.00, so when I call UPS Corporate, I don't have proof. Its not the $2...its being treated with respect. Don't mistake kindness for weakness. I called Amazon rep to see if something has changed; rep was stunned, advised UPS packs etc, ,insisted to refund the $2 and to call them if it...
Read moreInitially I gave a five star review but now I'm retracting it… I had not been given a tracking number by my sister and I go in there frequently to return things from Amazon… They know who I am. And I had my valid ID and I explained the situation. That my sister had left the Receipt with the tracking number at her beach house which is not near where she lives normally… They refuse to give me my package. They made me feel like I was a criminal. And I did not like it. Also when I eventually (days later) got my envelope it looked like somebody stomped on it twisted it ran over it with the truck or wiped their you know what with it and they still charged me $10 because my sister had sent it directly to their store… FedEx does not do that. So I had to on top of feeling insulted pay $10. I finally got it because my sister's friend went to look for the receipt in her house and found it. Never going back there again. I will use FedEx from...
Read moreMy intention was to drop off an Amazon return. The box was not yet sealed when I brought it to The UPS Store. Deon, Senior Customer Service Representative kindly and promptly received the box from me, sealed it securely, and patiently informed me on how to make the screen brighter on my phone so he could scan the QR code for the return. Deon then provided the return receipt, thanked me and wished me a good evening.
The transaction was seamless, concise and pleasant. And the return was received by Amazon timely, and my credit applied.
I am also glad for a phone conversation I had with David, Manager, to express my appreciation for the high level of customer care I received from Deon. David was gracious and thankful, and I'm pleased to have found...
