When I entered, the restaurant is more of a casual/takeout style place, but it’s extremely clean and there are comfortable seating options if you choose to enjoy your meal there.

I was greeted kindly by an employee who answered my questions I had about some platters.

I ordered the chicken platter & gyro platter & I am so happy I did. You are able to see the kitchen from the seating area of restaurant and I watched how fresh everything was cooked and prepared. I did order my meals to go, and everything was packed nicely.

I wish I took pictures of my meals because they were so delicious. Chicken was delicious and gyro was extremely fresh and flavorful. The platters were plentiful with a good amount of rice, salad etc. and reasonably priced.

I cannot wait to go back. They also have other platters, apps, create your own shawarma bowls, soups and more.

If you’re anywhere near Massapequa and haven’t tried Sumaq Grill & Bowl yet, you’re seriously missing out! This place is a hidden gem. The service is absolutely top-notch—everyone is so friendly and accommodating, they make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. There is ample seating. They have a bar seating that looks out at the parking lot. Booth seating and regular tables.

I’m usually not a fan of Mediterranean spices, but Sumaq has completely changed my mind. The flavors here are incredible! We can’t get enough of their #6 with brown rice and #7 with white rice. Both dishes are bursting with deliciousness and have us coming back for more.
