I just wanted to share the great experiences I had at Staples in Hicksville!
I had placed my order online and selected Hicksville as my store. When I went to pick up the order each time, I was so grateful to meet the team that helped me!
The first day I was looking for assistance when I walked into the store, since I wanted to add a couple of additional items to my basket and was pointed to the proper aisle by Abisheik, who also brought my online order to the register, processed my order and rang up my in-store purchase. I was very impressed how he kept helping other cashiers as he didn’t miss a beat while taking care of me! After he finished, he asked Andreas to carry out my large folded storage boxes as business was slow at that moment. How thoughtful! I walked quickly, thinking that Andreas was carrying my bulky folded storage boxes. He kept assuring me that that wasn’t necessary and placed my folded boxes in the car for me. How kind!
The second day I was just looking to pick up the last item of my online order. I met Fatima who brought the small shipping carton to me and processed my transaction. I had asked her to please open the carton, so that I could make sure I was receiving the correct item and that it was in good shape. She found a pair of children’s scissors and started to open the carton. I told her how impressed I was that she was actually getting the carton opened with the dull scissors she was using, because she used all of her strength! At that point, she decided to enlist Andrew to help her open the carton, who was also helpful and quickly opened the remaining portion of the carton with a box cutter. By the way, the item was in fact the item I had ordered and it was in good shape :) It was wonderful to see how these two Staples staff members worked as a team to help me just as the first two Staples staff members worked as a team to help me!!

I just had to return a retail item, and it only required scanning a bar code and getting a return coupon.The whole process took forever!! The staff at the counter were the least enthusiastic and lazy bummers I have seen anywhere.A particular female associate had no "joy"whatsoever in her service and looked like she worked there out of despair !! There were so many people waiting and they weren't enough courteous enough to ask what it is for and how long before they would be available for the required service.They simply kept looming around the store looking at random stuff and completely ignoring the people in the queue.Thank God for a really sweet woman who was waiting just as us announcing she wouldn't mind if we wanted us to ask them questions or get our stuff done! Horrible customer service! I am never returning to this...
Read moreim giving a good review to the customer care team. i had an issue with a defective product that i bought and wanted to return/exchange for a working product (ink cartridtge) and a policy that said that since i bought the ink at the store i could not get a refund through the online/e-commerce platform. that sounded idiotic to me. especially because staples offers free shipping and i could have avoided the store completely if i chose to. anyway, after a poor chat bot experience did NOT resolve the return issue, i left a number for a call back, and received a call back within 24 hours and customer care is sending me a replacement cartridge. i call that good customer service, but left one star off, as this could have been probably done thru the chat bot interaction and saved...
