I decided to try a new place and visited here on Tuesday, 8/12/2025 for a uv soft gel manicure. The service cost $32, and I paid a total of $40 with tip. However, just “two days later“ on Thursday, 8/14, 3 out of 5 nail tips began peeling. I called the shop in the afternoon and scheduled a repair for Friday morning, 8/15.
As I entered, I realized that even if they repaired it, the polish would likely peel/chip again in a few days. I asked to switch to hard gel instead of softgel and told them I would pay the difference. After finishing, the total came to $85 ($70 for the regular hard gel plus $15 for cat eye polish product). They offered to “discount” this cateye polish cost $15 and charge me $70 instead. I explained to the owner that I was expecting to pay the difference between $85 and $32 (of the soft gel) but he insisted that was “impossible” and that if they did business that way, they’d go bankrupt.
The owner also insisted that I had to pay the full 70 because I got hard gel instead of a repair. I asked him, “What if it starts peeling again in two days? Do I have to come back again for another repair? What about my time coming back and forth? He said yes, come back. Omg.
I’ve had many nails before and I’ve never had uv soft gel or even regular polish peel in just two days. whether it’s due to low-quality polish or poor technique, it’s just not right. As a result, I ended up paying $40 on Tuesday and another $80 on Friday(all including tips), $120 in one week, just to have my nails done.
Additionally, The male nail tech who originally did my nails last tuesday was sitting just two tables away but never came over to apologize or even ask what happened. Instead, he asked the trainee who was watching me to talk behind my back in Chinese which made me upset. The owner also never once said sorry. The way I see it, I’m a customer who spent $120 in a single week for one set of nails, and I did not receive fair service. I came back because I expected them to stand behind their work, but instead they charged me almost full price again. This is not how you treat customers and definitely not how you run a business. The owner should take responsibility for the...
Read moreAVOID! My nails warped under hot water and 3 nails broke after one week. I went in asking for an acrylic set. Peter told me to get a Gel X set instead— it’s cheaper ($60) and lasts four to six weeks, he said. I agreed to it because I trusted his recommendation. He used full sized nails (not tips) that were already shaped, and handed ME a UV light lamp because it’s a “two-person job.” So I’m paying $60 for him to essentially glue fully shaped nails on while I cure them and he paints them? Right. He uses gel and I cure the nails on. They looked great off the bat and I was very happy, so I tipped him $15. A week later, my thumb nail came off. A few days later, I ran my nails under hot water and THEY WARPED COMPLETELY? How does that happen with a professional set? Then another nail broke. Then another. These did not even last one week. I wish I stuck with what I wanted and got acrylic. I’m so upset. I won’t be returning. Don’t try to sell me on something that is “cheaper and lasts longer,” when really the tech has to do minimal work with the help of the customer and still...
Read moreThis was my second time. I had a powder French manicure. The person that did mine had to redo the French tip portion several times for each nail. It chipped the next day. During the manicure she kept yanking my fingers telling me to relax. But if I was anymore relaxed I would be paralyzed lol. She was frustrated bc she kept messing up and just walked away after she was done without even saying a word. The lady in charge came up to me to let me know how much I owed. I’m not picky at all and I just wanted it to be over. This powder French manicure took over 1.5 hrs. I will not be returning. My first experience with different staff was much better and they did an amazing job. The place itself is very clean and the woman in charge...
