I have lived their on 2 separate occasions. The first time back in 2005 and the second time in 2011 ish. Both time were awful.they lost my rent (don't really know how that's possible) than evicted me. I had proof it was paid and everything. I have been reading everyone's reviews and they are definitely correct...horrible place. Both times I lived there (I have NOT lived their since 2013) I was pregnant and I fell on more than one occasion due to the sidewalks being covered in ice and snow. The parking lots were never cleaned. My husband had to go out almost everyday and shovel out somewhere for us to park plus A path to the front door from the parking lot all the way to the sidewalk. A LOT of drug selling and dealing goes on there (again this was years ago but I hear it's still going on) people steal like crazy from the storage units. I had all my kids Christmas presents in my storage the one year and it was ALL STOLEN (yes this I guess was my own fault but still) I called the office to let them know (not that it was their fault obviously I just wanted them aware of this problem) and they were nothing but rude and very could have cared less. AGAIN it's my own fault but there was no need for the rudeness. My ceiling leaked constantly. I lived on the bottom floor the first time and the second floor the second time. The "maintainance" men threw all of my belongings out of my storage one day when I was at work...i was not moving out so it's not like they were doing their job. They claimed they thought it was stuff that "belonged to an old tenate" not sure how they could have said that. It was MY storage and I had been living there for over a year at that time. It had MY apt number on it so ....yeah??!!! I came home and saw my children's belongings (from when they were first born from the hospital) in the dumpster. The people that lived their at the time must have had a field day with all my stuff because unfortunately most of my stuff had all been taken out of the dumpster by my "neighbors" hospital baby blankets...my children's baby books...their scrapbooks...newpaper clippings (their birth announcements) a very old baby bassinet that was made by my great great grandfather and had been passed down through my family....the list goes on and on and on....ect ECT ECT. I was LIVID AND HEARTBROKEN , when I called the office....again they were very rude and didn't care at all!!!! And while I was living there....a young couple that lived across from me...well their infant baby died. It was a huge thing at the time. There was talk that they might have did something to the baby....im not saying that because I have no clue what happened!!! All I know was that it was horrible watching police carry out bloody blankets and other bloody items. Again I don't know what happened I just know what I saw. The complex didn't seem to care about that either. They continued living there and continued living it up and partying. I could go on and on...dont live there save yourself the stress and heartache. It might be better now hopefully I don't know...but I've heard from people that live their that it's...
Read moreThey entered my apartment without permission and took photos of my bedroom without permission and are trying to take me to court over the photos they took over 7 months ago! Don't move here if you respect your privacy.
They redid my bathtub recently and left toxic chemicals all over the wall and never came to clean it when they said they would.
I moved into a 2 bedroom apartment about 2 months ago and honestly I think it was the worst decision I've made in my life. I knew this place was trash but I didn't think it would be that bad so quickly. First I want to say that my service animal was attacked by a pit bull right outside my apartment door and management didn't care. When told it was a visiting dog they didn't get permission to have in the first place, they didn't care and said they couldn't force them to get rid of the dog. So if you live here you can have as many animals as you want, not get permission for them, and they can't make you get rid of them. Even if they attack someone's service animals! And then they try to evict your small animals saying they created a problem when they didn't. The only requirements I had for a new apartment was 2 bedrooms and a dishwasher as my partner and I are too disabled to stand and do dishes all the time and we figured we would pay extra for the convenience. I move in and the spare bedroom is infested with gnats and the window can't even be opened or more will swarm. When reported I was told to buy my own fly killer. This would be fine if my rent wasn't $1400 a month! I was paying around $700 for the last place, I wanted an upgrade and the whole spare bedroom was infested for the whole first 2 months I was here, now I just don't open the window and have tons of fly straps everywhere instead of what the room was planned to be. The garbage is right outside that window and gnats are always swarming everywhere outside, so something should have been done, or they should have found how the gnats are getting in and fix the holes in the windows. The dishwasher was completely broken when we moved in. It was falling out of the counter, the door fell and broke some of my dishes, and it just ran for hours wasting water and not cleaning or drying it just ran. When reported I was told a new one will be installed in a couple weeks. The date comes that they said and it's not here, I give it a few more days then call. I'm rudly yelled at to be patient and never hear anything again. Then I was told a few days later I won't have a dishwasher for MONTHS! And they blame Covid as if that's still an excuse for laziness. What am I paying $1400 for because it wasn't for the extra room or dishwasher like I expected. The worst "upgraded" apartment ever. The whole bathroom didn't even work. The toilet flushes itself and floods constantly, the sinks don't drain, we didn't have any hot water for a while, the bathtub has holes all over it they won't patch up. Literally everything was broken when we moved in. I've definitely had to wait over a week for every single maintenance request. We can't wait to leave...
Read moreI think I need to impress upon management that although I love my apartment, everything else sucks.
I love my apartment. I really do. But lately it seems Morgan Properties lets anyone rent here. There is virtually no soundproofing, so I can hear every step made in the upstairs apartment. In a building that has middle aged adults, people with small children are placed in the apartment. We currently have neighbors across the hall who were previously evicted and got back into the apartment they were evicted from by nefarious means (one reason they were evicted was for shooting a gun which went into the upstairs apartment). I have heard that you can get an apartment here if you have someone else rent it for you. After hiring a company to "waterproof" the outside, my apartment flooded twice. We still have wires sticking out of the ground outside that look like extension cords. I have had a package go missing, so now I need to be hyper focused to make sure I get my packages.
If I mention maybe placing middle aged residents in the same building rather than people with small kids, I hear that they can't discriminate. I'm not asking you to discriminate. I am asking for common sense.
The whole purpose of an application is to ensure that the people who live here can actually afford it. About a year ago, I had to provide extensive information when my niece, who lives with me, was thinking of moving out. I had been here four years by that point, and I had to prove it was ok for me to stay because my credit score was a few dings lower. Now, anyone can move in.
This place has potential if the management would step up and make sure our living conditions are safe, that people who apply are vetted and actually going to be living in the apartment, and consequences for people who lie on the applications, rather than just...
