Disappointing Experience with Seasonal Items, Policy and Frienldly but Poor Customer Service & Manager Resolution

I have consistently faced long wait times at checkout, which is frustrating. Additionally, I advise against purchasing their seasonal items, particularly the outdoor solar-powered LED lights. The rock lights are cheaply made in China and fall apart quickly. The switch component fell out of the bottom, and after rain, the lights fog up and often have water inside the housing.

The design is very poor, and the return policy is even worse. They only offer a 30-day return window for seasonal items, which is insufficient. Home Depot next door offers a much better return policy, allowing up to a year if you use their credit card.

Even Amazon's made-in-China LED lights are more durable and come with a better return policy. The standard LED solar lights from this store are dim and not worth the investment.

I attempted to exchange the defective lights for a more expensive solar spotlight while purchasing additional items. However, the manager and staff were unwilling to accommodate my request, preferring to lose a customer rather than address the issue and inform corporate about the defective products.

The switch housing should not fall out after 90 days, especially for an outdoor rock light. They should also not accumulate water. Overall, Amazon offers better value and return policies, and nearby stores provide more reliable options.

If you buy these lights you will have to buy a new set before the summer ends, which is highly inconvenient...

An employee was walking by all of the customers (myself included) in a long line for the next available register open. There were only two registers open at the time, and I don’t mind the wait due to the great prices. However, what I do mind was the two employees walking by the line and quite loudly complaining how, and I quote, “...stupid these customers can be, standing in one line for two registers open”. Now I would’ve loved if someone either jumped on a register to help or even guided us along on where to stand, but hearing not one, but TWO employees call customers who were being patient and calm stupid really set me off. Really great department store with everything you can think of for a really great bargain. The experience was decent, I like to take my time when I shop. Sometimes I will return to my basket from another aisle after I’ve parked it if it’s getting full. I had the unfortunate experience of someone whether it was an employee or customer (I am doubting the ladder), remove my basket and nowhere to be found. I looked down every aisle and when I had spoken to an employee he addressed my concern and returned with a basket with what seemed to be mine, but about 90% of the items I chose were gone, and about 5 or 6 new items were thrown in there.
