Please refrain from purchasing from Zales Poughkeepsie. As I purchased my wife's engagement ring and wedding band 14 years ago, it is beyond the most frustrating companies I've ever had to deal with. Time and time again there are issues. At the time of my purchases, we paid for free Rodium plating service on both rings, as long as we brought them in for bi-annual inspections, which we have adhered to religiously. At the time of my purchases it was a week turn-around time, then got stretched to two, sometimes three weeks turn-around time. Currently we are paying for a repair as it is a wear and tear issue. That is fine. However, the first time it came back, it was not fixed. This time they said they would put a rush on it. Two weeks past the estimated date, and we have to call to find out what's going on. Still another week. I asked why we were not provided with an update on the delay, and they said that is not part of what they do, as they contract that repair work out. If we are paying Zales for the repair, then it should be on them to update us on any delays, even if it is the fault of their contractor. They've also gave us back other customers rings without knowing. Just friendly advice of someone trying to save others from my extremely frustrating experience. The first time i called after a week of hearing nothing back they had completely forgotten about it. Another week goes by, I call again and they say they sent it to the wrong place and have to wait to get it back to send it to the correct place. Now week three they call yesterday to say it's ready to pick up but I never got an estimate so I tell them I was told it wouldn't be repaired till I okayed the estimate. She was terrible and made my experience terrible I have not been back for almost 2 years now but thought I would share because I feel it's not right that I get such bad service every time I walked in. This store would have got a lot more sales but my husband refused to shop there anymore after he witnessed how I was treated the first time I got this employee.
